I believe in Ostlund more long term then I do either of Rosen or Savoie.
- kingcong39

I buy that. I think Savoie is safe. Rosen might be the guy they move, although his second half was pretty strong. Good defensive metrics too.

Plus i just assume ostlund being a natural centre helps his trade value, but im not sure.

Do they move Savoie with Benson here now.
- Buff36

Can’t Savoie was a “can’t miss prospect”

Who only fell because of his size.

It'll be unforgivable if they don't upgrade here in the next few days

Pick a middle 6:

Benson- 13
Savoie- 9
Ostlund- 16
Kulich- 28
Rosen- 14
Quinn- 8
Peterka- 34
Cozens- 7
Krebs- 17
Mitts- 8

Clock is ticking to make a move. Can't put it off forever.

Remember when we " STOLE" Grigorenko ? everyone went crazy.
- SABRES 89

Bringing up grigorenko is so disingenuous. Yup, sometimes draft picks don't work.

I mean, just ignore the first round picks on Reinhart and Eichel, who were parlayed into Levi and Krebs, aka first round picks. Ignore Dahlin and Mittelstadt and Power and Cozens and Quinn. On the way are Kulich and Johnson and Savoie and Rosen and Ostlund. That's twelve guys who are the core and future of this team and all first round picks. It's an incredible list of successful draft picks.

But yeah, go back 11 years to Grigorenko to make a point.

Everyone said Savoie should’ve been a top 5-6 pick (I agreed) and he then got outplayed in the WHL playoffs by Benson who then went 13th but should’ve went top 5.

Next year he will get outplayed by Chadley McBraydster who will then go 20th to the Sabres

- sbroads24

So, playoffs?

My favorite player in the draft is Zach Benson I believe hes a franchise player like a Stamkos
The Talent is just unbelievable .

My underdog is Quentin Musty he's not elite but will be a nice Complimentary player for a team like for example the lightning

all these players we have drafted are all " great", let's see what they do in the NHL before saying Benson is a great player. Get it now.

so you live in Sweden and scout him extensively then? I will admit that playing on a 2nd division team he hasn't gotten the attention he deserves, compared to Savoie and Kulich. I think all 3 will be Sabre contributors

Except that it's true? This team has drafted Dahlin and Power and Eichel and Reinhart and Cozens and Mittelstadt and Quinn and all those guys have been NHL successes. They have one of the top prospect pools in the league thanks to other first round picks in Rosen and Kulich and Savoie and Ostlund and Johnson.

The team gets great players in the first round. Part of that is that they suck and draft very high.

I get it, the Sabres are bad. That doesn't mean their first round picks are bad. They aren't.

Every year this fanbase also talks itself into thinking that they're going to make 36 trades, sign 12 players, pick up every player that wasn't qualified by their respective teams, and that they should've been in on EVERY SINGLE TRADE that happens around the league. You're your own worst enemy. Adams has told everyone dozens of times what his plan is, yet you're on here every single day talking yourself into thinking he's going to deviate from it.

Do I need to live in Sweden, or can I have an internet connection and a subscription to watch Swedish hockey?

I'm feverishly taking notes, so please share your thoughts ASAP.
