Nah tying the success or failure of the current GM to the failures of past GMs is a you problem |

I must have missed it. Who is tying right now to 12 years ago? Lighten up Francis. Things are good right now. Enjoy the ride. |

I agree trades should have been made last year at the deadline. They were not. If you want to be critical of Adam's for that, that's fair.
To be upset nothing was done on a night when ZERO NHL trades happened is less fair. Today is about drafting prospects. By most accounts the Sabres did a really good job of that with their pick. Just let people be excited about a great young hockey player on the night of great young hockey players. |

I dont need other teams to make trades to want the sabres to make one. This has to be the worst take of all besides being worried about tim Murray

The kids growing is what has brought the team back. Adams will get 4d and a goalie in the next week. Other than that..... there aren't any holes. Let it play out. |

This is the kind of thinking that gets you bounced in the 1st round
Im with you though they need top 4 dman and a goalie at minimum

Okay, you realize you need another GM to make a trade with you, right? |

I would add a legitimate middle six wing to give Mittelstadt someone who can finish. |

Huh? Two thirds of the roster are trending up. Could they upgrade at 3rd line wing or 6d? Sure., maybe. Is that what you are complaining about? |

Who have the other 3 for Yankees? Thinking Cone and Wells had one |
|

Gerbe didn’t deal moving up or trading for a top 4 d
But he did name the Benson pick. He said benson and one other player. (Not the Russian) |

McCarthy, Strbak and Gibson should be top D targets at 39. I wouldn't mind two of them; I also wouldn't mind one of them and a goalie.
Curious as to whom KA was targeting as a tradeup into the latter part of Rd 1?
whomever challenged me when I said it's the NHL and no trades happen at the draft - 0 trades happened tonight - turbo044
Congratulations on being right about something that had not happened in a decade and a half 👏
Tonight marks the first time since 2007 that no trades were completed during Round 1 of the #NHLDraft, per NHL Stats.

Adams got a very good prospect, everyone pretty much knew he would. Hell the Rangers got a top 10 pick in the 20's. Nothing has changed, he still has to work to do to improve are team for the present. I will get out the confetti 🎊 when he gets a top 3-4 Dman and hopefully a goalie. |

Benson literally the same size and height as Patrick Kane and I am not sure I have ever heard of him referred to as small.

The Hawks are idiots, they wasted the #1 overall pick on a midget! |

Snark aside, they walked out of there with Bedard and Moore. Coupled with last year's draft (Nazar), they've got a pretty bright future.
