The Hawks are idiots, they wasted the #1 overall pick on a midget! - sabrerob
Good one!! Sabres got a very good prospect, a lot of teams got very good prospects. |

Interesting how so many were saying it shouldn't be to expensive to move up on here. Sabres would have had to sell the farm to get up to get the Russian. Teams wanted a sh!t ton to move back into the 20's.
Adams job hasn't even started yet. |

Isn't that true of every GM? Hell, I could make the argument that he has less work to do than any GM in the league because (last I checked) he has the most players under contract.

There are a few good D prospects sitting there for us. Hopefully they can grab at least 1 if not 2 |

You keep saying that about less work. But it's the same work that's needed since he got here. Improve your D and get a goalie. Hey I really like the system they are building, can go back to when I joined and have said it was crucial to rebuild your blood flow. And even when I complain it doesn't mean I don't like Adams, again go back I was one of the few who liked the move when it happened. It doesn't mean he hasn't failed in 2 critical areas since he's been here, and he's had opportunities to fix it. |

Yes there are. 2nd and 3rd rounds are filled with D. Just most know are 3 years away and that might be generous |

He let the kids play, plain and simple. People keep treating last year as if it wasn't a growth year. He should have got a D in October when injuries hit. Nobody was complaining about the D or goaltending in January when we were really cooking. Anyway, moving on.....

Only reason UPL played was because of injuries, what other kids on Defense did he let play. Joker Ok
Bryson Fitzgerald should not even be brought up |

He found out about Fitzgerald and Bryson. On opening night, those were your 6 and 7D. Not sure why you think that UPL wasn't going to play - they had to find out about him as well. And again, we were tickled pink with him until February.
I think what gets me about all of this the way Adams is talked about. Sure, the bottom of the D depth chart and backup goalie *in hindisght* ended up being the weak spot on the team. Every team has them. Why did Florida lose in the playoffs? The whole bottom half of the roster was mediocre. But for some reason with Adams, there is this narrative that he has done something really terrible. |

What are you talking about. After the Top 3 D it was all a ? even before the season started. And what backup goalie are you talking about, they all are backups. In hindsight he got some huge years out of a bunch of players that covered up weak spots that have been the same since Adams took over. DEFENSE and GOALTENDING |

Adams is God and can do no wrong, even after 3 failed nhl seasons.
Promise/hope is the product 36, and business is booming. |

And here's my Wisdom for Today!! Keep seeing people posting " Well he let the Kids Play". Yes he did, but you can still let them play and try to improve your team at the same time in other ways. Both things can be done at the same time.🤷🤷 |

Snark aside, they walked out of there with Bedard and Moore. Coupled with last year's draft (Nazar), they've got a pretty bright future. - Slump Buster
Do not forget about this guy the Blackhawks picked.
He looks like an exceptional prospect.

My favorite player in the draft is Zach Benson I believe hes a franchise player like a Stamkos
The Talent is just unbelievable .
My underdog is Quentin Musty he's not elite but will be a nice Complimentary player for a team like for example the lightning - gerbe75pts
I'm convinced you're part of the scouting staff in some way.

"Benson's the best non-McDavid playmaker I've ever tracked. Second all-time in expected primary assists per 60 (5v5 only, 3000-plus players), which basically measures passes for scoring chances." -Mitchell Brown on twitter. - matty12345

And last offseason the same sword swallowers were killing him for not getting scoring. All of this is so revisionist history
So Joker and Boosh were question marks? Yes, on a very good team Joker is a bottom pair guy Boosh is a 6-7. So yeah, we found out that *ideally* we need a 4D. It wasn't an achilles heel by any stretch of the imagination.
To put it another way, I'd say that we had one of the better D corps in the league on opening night. You don't think that Edmonton, Toronto, etc, would have traded their 6 for our 6? |

They didn't improve? 🤣🤣🤣 They went from a pro-rated 56 points in the covid-shortened season to 75 two years ago to 91 last year.
Let the man work. |

You absolutely can. Last I checked, he made moves in-season to bring in Greenway and Stillman. In limited sample size, they are promising.

No one said anything remotely trans-phobic.
Listen, guy. You are simple. It’s not your fault. But this isn’t the place for virtue signaling. Some people know more than you, have met different people and understand the discourse.
You want to play tag. This isn’t a game. Maybe if we didn’t filet the tip of a man’s penis the second he is born, we wouldn’t have so many body image issues?
Do you enjoy looking down at your scarred penis or is it really so hard to teach people to wash their genitals?
Let me repeat that: as soon as a male is born in America, his penis is filleted and scarred, and he loses between 30-70% of his sensitivity. And we are told it’s normal.
And wonder why so many want it fully filleted and tucked up inside a hole that’s ripped open and stuffed with skin grafts from your thighs after being told by an entire generation of men who didn’t go to war, that we aren’t man enough. Even though we went to war.
So yeah do you really want to have this conversation? - Jet Jaguar BD

I agree trades should have been made last year at the deadline. They were not. If you want to be critical of Adam's for that, that's fair.
To be upset nothing was done on a night when ZERO NHL trades happened is less fair. Today is about drafting prospects. By most accounts the Sabres did a really good job of that with their pick. Just let people be excited about a great young hockey player on the night of great young hockey players. - matty12345
He traded a 2nd for greenway. Didn't work out exactly how he wanted but he did make a move |
