Seems like both the Philly trades are in jeopardy now
- ImThatGuy

Yup oh well based on what we heard. Briere seems to know what he’s doing

Yeesh.

Sabres have Dahlin, Samuelsson, Cozens, Quinn, Peterka, Power and Rousek. Traded for Krebs and Levi as prospects. Few more guys get some this upcoming season like Kulich, Johnson, Savoie, Rosen.

They've traded a lot of first round picks.

Lol.
Might keep a younger player off the NHL roster. Really? That is funny.

Brett Murray is four months younger than Tyson Jost so this definitely holds up

Bruins have had some of their core players in place for 10+ years.

Chara was there forever. Kreji Bergerson even Marchand has been there for a long time.

When you have a core in place you can move 1st round picks with ease going all in on cup runs.

Pens basically have done that
Kings
Hawks

And other dynasties did that to try and stay in the cup race

He certainly is trying.
I thought that didn't count though...he has to force Krug to waive his NTC.

PLD to the Kings.

Cannot believe they blocked Byfield and Turcotte in order to get substantially better

Danault

is a pretty nice spine for the next couple years. Kopi is 36 to start the season. Byfield is used on the wing and Turcotte has been a disaster.

tbh he doesn't block poop.

Not too sure about that - he took quite a bit of criticism for the first trade he made. To take on Cal Peterson's contract with only a middling prospect didn't seem like good business. I've read speculation that maybe Krug would be flipped to another team.

I thought Briere did great on that deal personally.

Peterson is a stop gap while the Flyers are in rebuild mode anyways.

You can, but you can only do it for so long before it hurts you on the other end when you've got nothing coming up through the system. But I get that you have to do it while the window is open. In a way it reminds me of what Beane is doing now - we are borrowing from future caps (which I get) but the bill is going to come due some day.

But that's the problem - he might not even be an NHL goalie. If he is a serviceable backup, its fine. He hasn't been an NHL goalie for a while.

I've been accused of being a shill for Adams, so I'll actually lay down a bit of criticism. I get why we didn't make some of the kids eligible for this year's Rochester playoff run. But why didn't they make UPL eligible and send him down? While he has shown stretches of being a good NHL goalie, he really hasn't done it for along anywhere. The other kids are no-doubt Sabres (and some went to the Worlds anyway) - why wasn't he sent down?

I think it’s fair to say the Bruins might not be a top 5 cup contender next year, but it far from over for them.

Pastrnak
McAvoy
Lindholm
Swayman
Marchand
DeBrusk
Hall
Coyle
Carlo
Frederic

Still a solid group that’s VERY well coached.

Watch them find a way to add Scheifele or someone who will miraculously play like they’re 25 again

They got a serviceable d-man in Walker

Prospect RHD Helge Grans and a 2nd rounder to take Peterson off their hands though.

Then on top of that got a 1st and 2nd rounder for Provorov who I don’t think is all that great (and on a terrible contract no less).

No doubt, they aren't going anywhere. If they can still play that fantastic team D, they are always going to be good. That said, I think they would be tickled pink to get rid of Hall and the rest of his contract so that they could keep one of their free agents.

Don't get me wrong, I hated the trade for Columbus. They acquired two defenseman (including their other trade) who are ideally second-pair guys and paid them both top pair money. I get why people don't want to blow it up, but we are seeing a ton of middling teams shuffling around the deck chairs trying to improve. They often end up overpaying for vets.

Bergeron and Krejci were both huge parts of that though.

Boston has too much talent to be a bottom 10 roster, but they have a lot of work to do to get back to being a legitimate threat.

Marchand is another year older
Hall is mid and benefitted from playing deeper down the roster.
Coyle, Frederic are nice bottom 6 pieces.
Debrusk is a good player but is going to want to get paid.

Seen Brandt Clark might be part of deal

Maybe try getting involved in that deal
I give up 13 and 2 nd
Take Clark and infallo

Clears salary for LA
Gives them more amo for pld

Brandt Clarke isn't going anywhere. He is one of the top prospects in all of hockey. They publicly said they weren't trading him for Chickenman or anyone else.
