Byfield already has played 93 games with the Kings last 2 seasons.
Turcotte isn't ready, heis still struggling in the AHL, and seems to have regressed a bit last season.
Not sure what your point is actually. - IonSabres
The point is that they acquire adequate centers after drafting two of them very high and it looks like it was the right call.
They didn’t put all their eggs into the prospects baskets.
I’m hoping the Sabres do the same to a smaller degree.
For example I sincerely hope they acquire a legit goalie despite Levi. |

You'd hope a few of these prospects are challenging that top 6. - Lunaion
True... I hope so. Especially because I don't think he will be moving any. |

My spider senses are pointing me towards Gibson and I don’t know how I necessarily feel about that.
Although they have also been linked to Carter Hart |

Same.
It's a "meh" move for me. Hope maybe it gives him a spark, being on a much better team. Hopefully they bring in a good D man. That'll help, too. |

Why not Vanecek if NJ gets Hellebuyck if he isn't part of the deal. |

They seemed to have waited to see if Byfield passed the test after a really slow start, and after Turcotte couldn't graduate in 3 seasons.
I've been on record that I want a reasonable Goalie starter on a 2 year term...seems like an aged vet might be the way to go to me. Also stated for 2 seasons they need a #2RD.
So, I'm right there with wanting 2 upgrades at least to upgrade the GA performance (as well as a focus to improve the system for D awareness). |

Probably would be smarter to get the defensemen first
Just saying if IAM a goalie with a choice IAM not picking buffalo until they show me there trying to keep GA down |

That contract + his last 4 seasons make me nervous. Team wasn't good, but I don't want to take a 4 year gamble on that. He wasn't their best goalie last year.

Gibson stands on his head while getting shelled damn near every game.
Idk why some think that Gibson wouldn’t be desirable behind an offensively gifted team that leaves some to be desired when they’re trying to defend.
Light it up on offense, and have a goalie that can bail out many of the defensive lapses. (All while working on improving said defensive play). Adding Gibson, the Sabres would have two goalies that can do so.
I think Gibson would be stoked to play on a Buffalo team that gave him a chance to win games without him having to be damn near perfect. |

I agree, probably should have been thinking that the last few years. Maybe a Couple of those goalies would have said yes. |
