Just looking at his stats, he has been a quality backup for a long time. I didn't realize that he was 38.
- Slump Buster

He would give Levi a rest while giving us decent backup play.

I completely agree with this. I think I see him taking the same jump that Cozens took.
- Slump Buster

Adams should sign Kane to sit out with him, it makes so much sense right?

Am I fine with it? Sure, I am *fine*. I don't love going back in with UPL but otherwise I think that this is a very good roster with several players who haven't hit their ceiling yet. I can call a spade a spade - he has by no means hit a home run. He could have gone out and gotten your whole wish list and it could have sucked. The point is, we don't know how all of this is going to work out.

And also, the season doesn't start for 3 months. Your favorite gm didn't make a single move until July 8th last year.

- Slump Buster

So you’re backing off the “no excuses” line from a few weeks months ago. Got it.

Hilarious you’d call anyone else out for goalpost moving.

As of right now (which can change at any moment) the entire season hinges upon unknowns or guys taking on larger roles

Levi, Peterka, UPL, Clifton, Krebs etc. Kulich possibly too

So basically another wait and see what they have/development year

We unanimously agreed outside of maybe Boss that this was the offseason to go big or at least make a sizable move. They haven’t. So either you’re flip-flopping on that or you think this will be a failed offseason if they don’t. Can’t have it both ways

Adams signed Tokarski to bring the snarl, he might be a backup but he’s not afraid to jump the boards and go toe to toe with guys like Reaves

Hearing that Victor Olofsson and his 28 goals have been theoretically traded, but only to help fit a narrative.

Thank you for your service, VO.

Yes while being on the ice for 78 scored against us, you helped us in so many ways! Bye Bye

I’m hearing Connor Clifton was in fact a top 4 D man to fit narratives .

Achilles injuries are widow makers. I’m pretty much banking on Quinn never being good again. Really sucks for me since I was the only one on here that wanted the Sabres to draft him.
- Hatboro_Swords

Good thing they' drafted plenty of good young forwards then, if Quinn is dunzo, gonzo, buh byezo 👍

Fitzgerald

Even though he’d previously proved he can get moves made which Adams has not.

But whatever. It was so easy to predict people would totally flip flop on the big summer

I’m just praying Adams pulls the trigger soon

Just had a conference call with Adams.

Heard that 90% of these posters on this thread need to get laid, or at the very least, BJ’s from their wives.

Mentioned he can offer Skinner’s services to host “Between two Periods” for all of the middle age man PMS’ing on these threads the last few months.

Lance Lysowski confirmed the reports

Either Pesce or Pettersson would be a nice addition to the defense.

Hurricanes defenceman Brett Pesce and Penguins blueliner Marcus Pettersson could be part of a trade if either club is involved to offset cap implications, though San Jose may not be their final destination. Both have a cap hit of $4.025 million – Pesce is in the final year of his deal, while Pettersson has two-years left on his.

I would categorize the above under sub-prime comedy.

thats what happens when the goalposts keep moving. Goaloffson presumed absence is now a loss, and we're apparently suffering because our faceoff win % is a fraction of a point lower than average.
- Slump Buster

The reason it’s pertinent is that many keep pointing to our season goals scored. Olafson had 28. Subtract 28 goals from last years total and you’re suddenly 15th or 16th in scoring. As for face-offs, yes they matter and arguing otherwise is not a good look.

Yes cause they were so concerned with goal scoring they scratched him at the most important part of the season. Yes I will try to keep up!!

Subtract the goals he was on the ice for due to being putrid defensively, and it’s net positive.

Halak is out there, almost meets the age requirements, maybe we could get a waiver on age.
