Bad example, he had a genetic disorder that hurt his career.

Tyler Myers?
Nathan Gerbe?
Tyler Ennis?
Luke Adam?

- ImThatGuy

I think the two Tylers are probably the best example. Dont think Gerbe and Adam should be in the convo.

Nobody could figure out the limitations he had on his mobility and skating and whatnot and then in 2016 he was diagnosed with it. Very hard to overcome.

Awful stuff, exceptionally talented from what i remember.

close but Ville Leino takes that distinction for me, dude played 58 games as a starter and scored 0 goals. That's really, really, REALLY hard to do. I mean get in front of the net and have one bounce off your skate, Leg, a$$.

Complete garbage player.

It has to be Leino. In addition to what you said, we were in a position where we were still trying to compete and he was expected to be 1C.

Leino is the *worst* FA signing by far, but I would argue Hall might be more disappointing because he had won the Hart two years prior. There was a real belief that he could put up 100 points with Eichel.

Idk, it's close for me. Leino was awful but he didn't have a legit claim to the hype train

Ennis was a low first, wasn't he? Hard to call that a "disappointment". I still wonder if Lindy ruined Myers in the same way that Ralph tried to ruin Dahlin. Myers was a force for the first two years of his career.

What do the Sabres have (that Adams will actually use) to make deals?

It's definitely not a bad answer.

Tim Connolly and Ville Leino round out my top 3 from this millenium.

Also Jay McKee. He knows what he did.

What did McKee do? Other thank not wash his shin pads?

Everyone wanted Myers to be Chara, including the Sabres because he was tall. It infuriated me.

Let the dude do what he did and rush like a mad man.

He could have been Dahlin light but I full agree he was ruined.

Taylor Hall in 2 1/2 seasons scored 111 points for Boston.

How many did Bjork have here?

We’re not really arguing that trade wasn’t terrible rigjt?

Crap ton of prospects too, lets be real here not all of them (even some good ones) are going to make the roster.

I would not be heart broken of they used any of them to get what they need and I mean ANY of them...

Well he was basically are only surviving Defenseman by that point. Staff Infections just don't pop up, probably played through some nasty sh!t to even get there.

Of course it was terrible. We knew it would be when Hall only agreed to sign here under the premise that he wouldn't be traded without his permission.

sadly I agree. We certainly can afford to part with a few prospects to get what we need.
