Not sure what giving up chances and face offs have to do with each other
Again, the difference is a few face offs per game thaf get labeled a “win”
Not all face offs are clear wins with possession either. A lot of them end up pick battles. - sbroads24
Loose faceoff shot on net, Loose faceoff high danger chance created. Loose faceoff shot on net tip in front Goal. Happened quite a bit this year.
Seem to remember are PP being hindered by are Faceoff's.
Maybe miniscule to you, but could have gotten us into the playoffs this year, right along better goaltending or better defense. |

Would he be the worst idea? Young, the team knows him, defensively minded. Wouldn’t he be a better option than some of what’s been thrown around? - Gr8daygo
im going to regret journeying this path.
He's fine. Adding him alone does not improve the Buffalo Sabres in a significant way.
Swapping him and Bryson, ok.

Not to me, just in reality. You’re severely over rating the impact of something that is usually a 50/50 split throughout a game.
No team is going to go out and win 75% of them every game to where it’s going to make a tangible difference over time.
The best team in the league was 55%. That’s one extra every 20 face offs better than average |

From WGR this morning:
From the last 40 drafts, only three draft picks have played 600 games for us (and only one first rounder) |

Ok, now we are getting somewhere. So you want to bottom pair him with Boosh and still add a top 4.
I’m down with that thinking.
Dahlin. Samuelsson
Power. Upgrade.
Borgen. Boosh
Stillmen.
Bryson and Joker traded |

Karlsson aside from salary to me, is the perfect fit of the type of defenseman the Sabres want.
A puck moving rush defender. - ImThatGuy

I do understand that, and would agree most of the time. I just think it hindered the Sabres alot last year. And until they run a better Defensive System it will hurt them more Than other teams cause it trickles into there offense than. |

Tampa wishes they won just one more faceoff in each of the last two loses of the season...last minute/overtime wins by TO in the Bolts Defensive zone.
Not all FO are equal. Would be nice to win 4 more critical FO's than lose them. |

Sure, but think of all of the other hundreds or thousands of events that happen in a game that could turn it one way or the other.

Its really shocking that it is only 3. In all those years, we couldn't draft and keep players for 8ish years.

Dylan Cozens and Casey Mittelstadt with a 4 year extension hit 600. Dahlin. Power.
WGR cries about weird poop. Between DiBiase and Geary, I mean holy poop. |

Yeah, WGR has gotten really annoying recently. It’s the same old Bills talk daily. Sabres are brushed under like they are nothing.
The diggs thing was garbage talk
McDermott getting extended too soon
And other stuff like that is boring and repetitive. |

I'll give credit where it's due, Jeremy drives the Sabres bus.
Schopp avoids the Sabres like the (frank)ing plague.
They'd rather talk about some Mahomes or Burrows statline in the beginning of July than anything about the Sabres.
When Bulldog is alone you'll get more Sabres talk.

Cozens, Dahlin and Power are locks.
Can see quinn doing it also. Think hes gonna be a perfect 1st line winger and skinner replacement.
Kulick really seems like a keeper. Can see him as a long time sabre also.
Girgs might get his number in the rafters by the end of his sabre career.
