Shame on you for thinking bringing in a guy with lots of playoff experience and a couple cups might help the young guys more than a guy who is a career 4th liner with no playoff games on his resume. - TheHank

Villardi, Iafallo, Kupari is the rumour. - Swedish_Jesus
Vilardi is the only big piece.
Iafallo is a 2/3 line tweener
Kupari is meh. |

I think the other side of this is that PDL is a mixed bag. His rep is that he only shows up every third game. And the trade requests, of course.

Habs are reportedly close to a trade. They've got a ton of good pieces but need to find a top line somehow. |

Is it ironic that - from my memory - the two players that looked better under Ralphie than Meatballs are Ollo and Bryson? The former could be the result of playing with Jack, of course.

You might be right. PDL's position also plays a roll. On a good team, PDL is a second line center. They are going to need Byfield to be that at some point.

Loosen your belt on your wheelchair guy, those 2 players are not the only vets in the league, if there such good leaders why do they need to come back again after already leading the kids?
Those players suck, fill no voids in the roster and are overpaid.
It's also a bad sign if these new core is so fragile they need these guys. - washedup20
Go root for the rangers.

The Canadiens acquire the rights to forward Alex Newhook from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Montreal's 31st (previously acquired from Florida) and 37th overall picks in 2023 and defenseman Gianni Fairbrother..
EDIT. Yikes |

I was actually thinking about the cost that we paid to acquire Greenway. People female dogged about that, and in the end they could be right. A first a second for Newhook? That is insane.
Rumor has it they are looking to also trade down out of 5.

Newhook actually produces though, with limited ice time and no PP time.
He’s like Krebs but actually good on offense |

Ive scrolled over every boss post for quite some time so that cuts out a bunch of them. You probably should too. Makes back reading go a lot quicker, easier and you also won't get caught up in the constant fall flat on your face trolling as an added benefit. |

That's a good way to look at it, but I would argue that Krebs is still trending up and has a higher ceiling. Newhook is already looked at as a reclamation project from what I have been reading. Also, Montreal has a metric crap ton of prospects coming, not to mention they aren't close to competing. I get spending a second on him to find out, but a first as well? That seems like bad asset management.

Egor Korshkov
Kilim Kostin

Seattle must be offering low ball numbers to these guys, Borgen and Soucy on the market, what would you offer Soucy to sign in Buffalo?
