Gibson if the deal is right.
Varlamov
Andersen
Jarry (cup winning goalie) I think he’d be a good room/vibes guy. He knows what it takes. - ImThatGuy
I'd be fine with any of them as the other guy (although I hate Gibson's contract). Again, they all have warts. Jarry is available for a reason. Also, there seems to be a belief that cup winners have magic pixie dust that you get after you hoist the cup. He stopped more pucks than the other goalies that one year.

I could be way off but ill stand by it.
I dont believe they have any interest in Dumba, Kane or giving Levi 55 starts. Nothing I've heard, or asked from people who are regularly in the know would suggest any of this. - Michael Ghofrani
They’re adding a legit goalie.
I was told that, Gerbe has alluded to it, and I know we converse with people on Twitter in the know who’s said the same.
They should plan on Levi getting 30-40 tops |

Yeah exactly right. They do love Levi, i dont dispute that. But that also means taking his development seriously. Giving him 55 starts in the most anticipated year in forever is exactly what you don't do if you are serious about someones development in net. |

50+ starts is ludicrous for a Rookie goalie. Sheltering him would be ideal. Don't need injuries in his first year.

Again, regardless of who is deemed the starter, if the other guy plays better he is going to get more starts. Just look at the sh**show that the goalie movement was last offseason. Forget about Levi - I don't get how anyone can definitively say that goalie x is better than goalie y. Can I say with confidence that Korpisolo is better than Anderson?
To put it another way, would you still feel the same way if Levi starts the season lights out? Of course not.

Right but 55 for a rookie is kind of nuts, lights out at the beginning or not. I think UPL had a stretch last year where he had a 915 sv% through 12 games and was like 10-2.
I cant definitely say whether goalie x or y is better. But theyve got a few really smart guys with access to all kinds of data that should help them find out. |

I can, without question say that the goalies mentioned above, outplayed UPL by a large margin.
Levi is the present and future.
Let’s not chance the future by overloading the present.
The focus should be getting better than UPL. |

Nobody is arguing for UPL.
I've beat this to death, but there is one more note. Helleybuck played 2 years of college (24 and 29 games) and then played 58 games the next year.

Because rookie goalies with no AHL experience and who have never played more than 40 games in an entire season don’t jump to 50+ their first year in the pros?
There’s a 0% chance they promised him that

Uhhh..no?
He played 88 AHL games between 2014-16, then played 26 NHL games his rookie year, then 56.
Like we’re trying to say - 7 total career pro games then jumping to 50+ just isn’t something teams plan to do |

Apparently this PLD trade is a complicated one.
Watch it be a whole lotta nothing and it be NHL GMs are just awful. |
