Upl is on the roster currently, but nobody on the management team likes him at all.
Levi may struggle, then he wont play 50 games.
It's possible to dislike the current president and the former president. - Boss34

No extension talks yet between the Sabres and Casey Mittelstadt's agent, said GM Kevyn Adams, who explained that it's not a reflection on how they feel about the player. Mittelstadt is scheduled to be a RFA next summer. |

Because they need better if they want to compete. |

Not remotely surprising with where their focus is prioritized, right? |

Interesting comment about Peca.
No groundbreaking news from
GMKA. The phones are busy. Said he expects Appert back in Roch. Had long “heart to heart” with Peca. They had no spot for him in NHL. Understands talent will be attractive to others. #Sabres

I don't think it is a problem, per se. I think they just don't have confidence in him.

I still can't believe there wasn't a spot for him on Granato's staff. |

Why the fascination with former players? There is no link between being a good player and being a good coach. Hell, they also hired Housley - nobody complained about that. And he even had a record of being a good (assistant) coach in the league.

Could say the same about Matt Ellis, who is currently on the Sabres bench.

I'm not surprised because I don't see them doing it this summer. I think he's been inconsistent enough that I want to see him do it again and how he plays with new linemates. It's busy now, but they've had over 2 months. I think they would have spoken if they wanted to do it this summer.
Also still the matter of what they are going to do with all these F's. Could easily add another tomorrow.
Was a rumor floating around that they were close to an agreement. |

Right, that's my point. I am not going to assume that because Peca was a great player that I need to dump another coach for him. |

The PK wasn't good, but other than that I'd say they had a pretty successful couple of years.

The PP stinks too, but thankfully they have superstars on the ice that can capitalize anyways.
Perhaps Peca could have drawn up a PP system that uses the down low forwards and isn’t completely “set Tage up for a one timer and we’re franked if that doesn’t happen” |

Well, I think any one of us could tell them that other teams caught up with it. They had switched it around by the end of the year and - if memory serves - it was better.

Never said there was. Our PK was one of the worst in the league and most of our forwards don't play a 200ft game. Both things Peca excelled at. Seemed like a no-brainer to promote up and coming talent from within. |

I don't agree on the bolded, as they seem singularly focused on Dahlin and Power, and I don't see them extending anyone else until both of them are extended. |

None of these decisions should impact each other, unless extending both D prevent you from a 3rd long term deal. Their value is well established. Mitts is a lot tougher to figure out. |

Is this the ultimate in gas lighting? Politics were never even mentioned on here once until meltdown mike, big baaa bossman, Fitz and you talked about trump and Covid every day on here, repeating everything the tv told you to repeat, like good little cult members. It's weird how obsessed you guys are.
And then you play the victim 😂😂😂. Pretty unbelievable. It's why 75 million people vote for Trump. Not because they like him it's because they realize how vile you people are |

The fact that every day people argue about politics and Left vs Right shows that the “system” is working.
No matter who is in charge, the 1% run the world anyways.
The Sabres hold the 13th pick in tomorrow nights draft btw |

“Tom Fitzgerald since he was hired as a Devils GM.
He acquired/signed:
Hamilton
Meier
Palat
Toffoli
Marino
Siegenthaler
Tatar
Graves
Haula
Vanecek
And re-signed J. Hughes, Bratt & Siegenthaler to great contracts.
The Devils are so lucky to have GM like him. He's excellent.”
Fitzgerald took over in 2020. Same year as Adams.
Adams has acquired 1/4 of the talent above.

This is why I would trade all prospects for proven talent. Vegas is a prime example of doing so.
We have a very talented young core already in place. It's time to use or picks and prospects as trade bait to finalize the roster.
But sadly I have a strong feeling we won't be trading for anyone of significance. - Carubba-Kaleta

How many times have the Sabres made the playoffs? Also, if by "a few" you mean 21, then sure. |
