Could have Greenway - Tage - Cozens as a line. Like at the end of the year. They played well together.

Skinner - Mitts - Tuch
JJ - Krebs - Quinn ( Dont think they worked too well tg)

- DirtyDan

Good post

Tage/ #12 looked good together. Gives tage some muscle on his line.

"Timo meier is too old for an 8 year deal" - pham

He's 26 lol

- Hank Balling

Also he wants JT compher even though he’s older than Timo.

This dude.

This is a terrible tired take

Top 4 dman and a goalie has been an issue since last offseason, not last week

- ieetbred

no, it really isn't. He did go out and get another guy last year and it turns out that - when all was said and done - it didn't work out. UPL was great, until he wasn't. They gave all of their young players a chance to succeed last year. Most did, some (like Bryson) did not. That's how you find out about young players.

A while back he argued that upl wasn't that bad

"Yea sometimes he would let 3 or 4 in.."

No it was literally every time

To be fair, it isn't apples to apples. I don't think anyone wants Compher for 8 years.

Which players traded the last week or so are you wishing the Sabres had acquired?
- IonSabres

This is such a nonsensical rebuttal.

Do you think there’s some official list of players who GM’s are only allowed to talk about or negotiate on?

Upl was never great. Comrie didnt work and 50 year old Anderson couldn't play as much as we needed him.

All of this was apparent by December

OMG you are becoming a shill dude.

It legitimately was the needs last year

Lyubushkin was never considered a top 4 D

Are you seriously that thick? The statement is about your complaints that nothing has happened *yet* that we wish we were in on. All of the guys that we talked about possibly coming here are still out there. Again, why the female dogging about things not having happened on your preferred schedule?

They thought Joki could be though. Injuries didn't help him.

After seeing how well Sal has done for himself the last few years, you'd think they be looking to move on from pham. He's a dinosaur at this point.

You're right, he wasn't. Adams found out that none of the kids on D took the next jump. You moaned all last offseason that we wouldn't have any scoring. Did it end up being an issue? So they let the kids play and in most areas it worked, some it didn't.

Thinking a young D-man could step up is bad thinking?

How could that contract term be desirable? I go back and forth with some of the guys here because I don't want to do something that puts our cap in a bad space x years from now. I can see their "figure it out later" if we are going for a guy like Meier. But for a backup goalie?
- Slump Buster

If you sign helleybuck for what he wants. A max deal. He’s 28-29 ish. Right?

So a 9.5 million dollar goalie at the age of 33+. We would be lucky to get 4 good years with 4 years where he’s old and breaks down

Sabres don’t need another Kyle Okposo contract on their books.

Pay for future production ….. not past production.

Don't be so dense, thinking it, allowing it, and not having proper support to manage the risk of the move was dumb.

I completely agree with all of that, which is why I wouldn't want Helley either. I have no interest in Gibson unless they hold at least 2 mill of his if 6.4 AAV.

You do realize that you could probably get Bob for free, don't you? He had an amazing playoff run, until he didn't. He hadn't been good for a long time before that, and I don't love his prospects for being good again in the future.
