It’s Mitts brings a similar offer to Newhook, you doing it? - ImThatGuy
No, it would have to be for more than that. A low first and a second doesn't make me want to move him. Newhook is considered a reclamation project, whereas we would be selling high on Mitts.

The canucks wound up paying todays equivalent of like 550k to get Bure out of his contract.
A different KHL team might have taken an offer like that. - Michael Ghofrani
If money is truly no object.
Uncle Terry says name your price…. Obviously within limits.
If they come back and say 10 million they can pound sand. |

13, Mitts, Rosen, something else to move to 5 or 6? You would still have enough assets to do anything else that we wanted to. - Slump Buster
If that's what they want, this is a different player and draft then usual. |

Just based on the trajectory of most GMs, theres like a 98% chance Adams wont be the GM the year Michkov is projected to come over.
So unless he's there at 13 or they get a really friendly deal to move up that doesnt involve roster players, I wouldnt expect him to do that. - Michael Ghofrani
But wouldn't that be a statement for a GM hired today that is starting over? Adams has just overseen 2 successful growth years. Hasn't won anything but everything is trending up and he has gotten a lot of credit for what he has done so far. I think it would be really surprising if he isn't here in some capacity in 3 years, especially when you consider the Pegula's experiences with the clowns before him.

What does it cost to get up to say 4 or 5 to get that Russian. We don't have a embarrassment of riches at Defense, we do at Forward. So we are going to trade up to add to a position we are already very strong at that could have a chance at affecting what I do at a weak spot. Oh and that added strong point won't be helping for years. To me you don't make that move unless you are pretty sure you are gonna be able strengthen that weak spot. - Buff36
Why are fans so...sensible?
It's a Russian superstar who is gonna score goals and fly around and be the best player on the team. I don't want to hear about salary cap and assets and all that stupid crap. If you can do it, you do it.
The team hasn't made the playoffs since I was in university and yet we don't want superstars. "Sorry, no cap space in 2027 for Erik Karlsson." Like common.
Give me Deandre Hopkins. Give me Karlsson. Sports is supposed to be fun at some point.

I think Schopp had a good idea a minute ago. Use the two 2nds (39 and 45, I think?) try to get back into the 20s. Much better chance of getting an impact player there than in the 2nd round.

Agreed, but that's probably closer to fair than Olofsson and 2nds.
Maybe something with Krebbs.

We don't know yet right? Thats more what im getting at. His being here 3 years from now will be almost entirely come down to what the NHL team does. So subtracting players from that team, or really close to making it, doesnt really help him unless its to make the team better today. |

The guy they draft at 13 will play in the OHL for a year, then Rochester for a year, then have a low impact rookie season with the team by the time this russian shows up.
Sounds about the same to me.

Adams would be foolish to not play him 60+ next season. He is ready for a development season |
