Couturier will be hardest to move.

I don’t see Michkov dropping past 5 as I expect one of the following to happen:

1. San Jose takes him at 4
2. Washington or Detroit trades a boatload to go from 8 to 4 and takes him.
3. San Jose goes with Smith and Washington or Detroit makes a deal with Montreal to take him at 5.

I really don’t see a scenario where he makes it to 6, let alone 7.

I tend to agree. If Flyers fans are talking this highly of Michkov, the Flyers as well as other organizations I’m sure are doing the same.

The Blues have 7 players with full NTC and two more with M-NTC contracts. 50% of their roster at the moment. Holy s--t. I thought we could narrow this down but it literally could be anyone.

FWIW, while I do believe this potential PHI/STL trade is big, I don't think this version of it would have them trading 4 roster players as was rumored.

Hayes is obviously involved, and the Flyers would be retaining a lot if the deal gets done. I believe Travis Sanheim is too.

The complication surrounds a Blues player, believed to be Torrey Krug, not willing to waive his NTC to come to the Flyers.
However, Briere is working to see if he can flip Krug to a team for whom he would waive his NTC.
The Flyers would get one of the Blues late first rounders…

That could be it. It could also be he has a wife and two kids and likes where he's at. It's probably a bit of both; the opportunity here isn't better than in STL where he already is.

Trading Sanheim to unload Hayes. Kinda hate it.

That's pretty good time frame, 4 years until we start becoming relavant so taking a contract like Krugs on wouldn't cripple us. Just have to make sure we are getting decent assets back. And maybe DB can package SL & Krug together for another deal to bring assets back. Getting rid of Hayes and Sanheim would be awesome, losing long term contracts and gettting assets back is a win win if you add in getting rid of hayes its win win win!!! Now we just have to figure out how to get rid of TD without giving up any assets or retaining.
