One thing I think I remember most about Foligno; he was part of the Columbus leadership group -seemed pretty grounded. I'm sure that factored into why the Hawks wanted him as well.
Someone ought to see if the Jims are available, and you got an instant short-term energy line. Wonder if
Wirtzco can distribute Puppers... |

Not sure this leaves any room for Domi to be re-signed. 18 players signed only $5 million remaining. - Revco38
Unless KD& company start wheeling and dealing. I read on puckempire that Ivan Barbeshev and Chicago are a good fit don't know if he's a UFA. I love this time of year anything goes. |

Defenseman Caleb Jones was notified he won’t be receiving a qualifying offer from the Blackhawks and will become an unrestricted free agent, his agent Pat Brisson said on Tuesday. - wiz1901
The Hawks drafting Bedard has now become the second best news of the week. |

The Jims need nicknames.

This has nothing to do with how LTIR is calculated - LAHawk
I never mentioned LTIR in my original post.
Let's change the subject.
What are your thoughts on the LA WPG trade? Kings were able to keep Power and Byfield I see. |

I will apologize, misunderstood what you said, was waiting for luggage at the airport.
I don’t understand it really, they do have the best center depth with Kopitar, DuBois and Danault, but will need a lot of ELC and minimum contracts to perform well. I guess they feel they need to match how Vegas operates. Interesting to see who they sign as a goalie. |

No problem LA.
Kings can't be done making moves to offload salary. We'll see what Blake has up his sleeve.

I could see KD trading a 2023 second round pick for a 2024 or 2025 second round pick plus a mid-round pick. Likely pick 51 or 55 would be the one on the move. |

If Wiz is correct, probably not.
But we'll see. |

I have Carey Terrance in the #44 slot for the Blackahwks 4th selection.
I didn't realize he was from the Mohawk Nation at Akwesasne, which encompasses parts of New York, Ontario, and Quebec, had six points (two goals, four assists) in seven games for the United States at the 2023 IIHF Under-18 World Championship in Switzerland.
He scored the tying third-period goal for the U.S. in a 3-2 overtime win against Sweden in the championship game on April 30.
"If you ask anyone, it's kind of obvious that speed carries my game and my skating," Terrence said. "Whether I'm on the left wing or playing center, I like to play a 200-foot game. A big part of my game is taking the puck to the net off the rush. Being hard in front of the net, I scored a lot of my goals there this year. I think that's where I'm going to make my money."
Erie coach Stan Butler said Terrance is fueled by the desire to be a leader on and off the ice.
"He doesn't want to go along for the ride, he wants to be the difference in the ride," Butler said
Jayson Shaugabay, who is a smaller 5'10 167lb. right centre is from Roseau, Minnesota, became the highest-scoring Warroad High School boys player this season, surpassing Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie. Shaugabay, an enrolled member of the White Earth Nation, also had 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) in 27 games with Green Bay of the USHL in 2022-23. He's committed to play for the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
So,
in the interview process, do the Hawks gauge the prospects feelings on the team name? - wiz1901
Big kid, is the he kind kid that can play on a fourth line right out of the gate? |

Tomorrow, when Davidson calls Connor Bedard’s name do they have the traditional number to represent the year, 23, or will it be 98? |

They will have the standard jersey for him. I think its was number 1 because they were advertising his jersey or whatever number they usually use. It won't be 98 |

I took it more like I won't be bullied into overpaying and if these are the picks I have at the end of the day, so be it. |

Hmm. I don't think Kane will sign until December unless someone really wants the LTIR space to delay some decisions. |

Figure of Kane wants to go to a contender, he would have to make less than Foligno 🤷🏻

How sad would that be? Nick "The Plug" Foligno making more than Kane. |
