I’m bullish on Raddysh too, I’ve like him since his draft year and wanted the Hawks to take him instead of Krys.
There’s been lots of talk that Kurashev will be the only current Blackhawks forward (not including Reichel) that will be with the team when they are relevant again. While I think Kurashev could certainly stick around for a few years I think Raddysh has a better chance. Raddysh is top 6 now, but as the team gets better he could still contribute on the 3rd line. - DarthKane
I like Raddysh as well. I think we'll be seeing less of Entwistle, Reese Johnson and Blackell this year.

Maybe KD obtained Hall to play along side Fantilli.

Hahaha, that's funny
Gotta say I'm not a big fan of Hall but when there's word KD is doing something, he doesn't (frank) around.
After seeing that JFresh card i can see why KD went and got him, so we got better offensively and if we sign Foligno we got better defensively. |

Elliotte Friedman said Hall has a nagging leg injury, whatever that means, and that his no trade list didn’t include Chicago. But he also thinks Hall may be the ideal linemate to play with Bedard, veteran guy who can get Bedard the puck and chip in a few goals. |

I am old enough to remember when much of the board was certain - certain - that Mitchell was really gonna be the goods. Oh, well.... |

the #19 is where we are.
We know God dropped a gift on the fans that no one has EVER gotten...a player no one usable to project past generational....I only know what I have seen for three years and it is phenomenal.

I hear you Wiz, I'm really excited and i think at 19 KD will take who he thinks is the best available player, last year is last year. I really wouldn't be surprised if they take Yager at 19, have Bedard and the Yager bomb.
We can be looking at 70 plus goals a year with those 2 players alone |

The hype was certainly started with the last regime...
that shouldn't mean that Axel Sandin Pelikka. (ASP) isn't worthy a pick at #19 although I think he is still the first defender off the board.
Boy, I cannot wait until my brain can start concentrating on 2024!

Hey Wiz, I'm curious from my untrained eye...
I watch all the "big four" sports and to me, hockey is the least certain when it comes to evaluating talent. Basketball and football are clear as day for me to see the difference between players, and baseball is a distant third but the good ones always stand out.
But hockey... that's an entirely different beast. Watching a guy like AA back in his Detroit days, he stood out to me as a player that simply looked "different" on the ice, even when you don't consider his ELITE level speed. He was someone that I was sure of would be a game-changing talent (evidently not). Taking Patty Kane as an example, slowing the game down, evading hits, his vision and playmaking... all of that has looked SO different from other players on the ice and it's been a joy to watch him for over a decade in the Indianhead.
But Bedard... I don't know. I watch the videos. I read the reports. I scour the gaudy statistics pages. I'm trying not to blindly become enamored by the talent that everyone is clamoring about, but I just don't SEE it the way scouts do. Maybe it's because I didn't play the sport, or I'm not up close enough when I do go to games to see the marginal differences in how a player skates or shoots that makes or breaks their future, team, and overall game impact.
So I ask, as someone as experienced and has watched as many clips, videos, and highlights as you have... seen players in person and on screens... is he REALLY that transcendental? Or is there a certain element of conforming bias in opinions from experts that has swallowed up any kind of rational perspective out there.
I've literally never seen a player - in any sport - be as highly thought of as a prospect as he's been. Even for as hyped as McDavid was, people still found ways to nitpick his game. Maybe it's just the surreal feeling that this is a player that's going to be on one of my teams that makes me a natural skeptic, but I'm just having a tough time accepting/rationalizing that some sort of messiah is coming to change this team's fortunes. |

When Chicago picks at 19 they may pick someone no one is talking about. All we need is for one or two teams to choose someone unexpected. Detroit has a history of going off the board, what if two teams should do that leaving a player ranked earlier at #19, say Dvorsky or Moore? Or conversely what if Davidson picks someone ranked in the second or third round like Ethan Gauthier or Koehler Ziemmer? |

I expect the latter. The Hawks have a [recent] history of taking guys higher than they were originally projected. Saad and DeBrincat are the only two examples I could think of in the last 10 years where the Hawks drafted a falling talent (and it turned out well for them).
Dach, Rinzel, Allan, Reichel, Boqvist, Beaudin… all guys that were drafted higher than most mocks had them. |

KD dumped 2 defenceman today. He's zeroing in on Dmitri Shimashev with #19. |

Maybe KD is following the Toronto Model, thereby skipping the drafting of defensemen altogether. |

Hawks need centers or size and speed on the wings. But shimashev would not be bad choice either. |
