HuGo are fully aware of this (Hoffman/Armia). Dvorak will go if they trade for another center (like PLD), I am sure they have a few irons in the fire to acquire and move guys to reshape the team. We should see some of those move come this week or this summer.

Two new hires in the Canadiens' sports medicine department

Jim Ramsay named Director, Sports Medicine, Performance and Head Athletic Therapist, while Maxime Gauthier to serve as Head Physiotherapist.

Head athletic trainers typically do not make news, but Jim Ramsay leaving #NYR after 28 years to go to #GoHabsGo is a coup for Jeff Gorton and team. He’s widely respected as one of the best in the business.

Interesting.

Bit-by-bit they are really doing a good job of putting their imprint on an organization that has probably lived on its laurels for too long and had an old school mentality in thinking and hiring processes for key roles.

Caufied Suzuki Dach
Slaf Monahan Anderson
Hoffman Dvorak Armia
RHP Evans Gallagher
Pezzetta

no place for Heineman and Ylonen, or any other kids who would surprise at camp. (Beck?)
that 3rd line need to be dumped asap. all 3 of them.

agreed on Edmundson. and waive Wideman.

Seems accurate. Just a little fix though, Caufield is a RW. IMO, Dach will play 2nd C ans I expect/suspect Hughes to be in the market for a LW capable to complete Caufield and Suzuki. Could it be Barbashev or a cheaper option like Killorn who said that he would accept an hometown discount (at 33 not sure it’s really a discount). Could it be via trade? We won’t know until it happens and Hughes has been efficient at not showing his hand and surprise us. Just a feeling but I am afraid Harris will be sacrificed this summer in a trade…

sure, lines combo were just to show that they already have too many players, and probably not signing anyone on July 1st.
in a perfect world Dach would play #2C, Monahan #3C. Dvorak beubye.

Yeah hopefully Dvorak is gone, maybe with some salary retained. Hoffman can be burried in the AHL (hope they do). Heineman is the dark horse as his development has been a pleasant surprise so far.

With the 31st pick in the 2023 NHL draft, the HuGo Habs are proud to select...Ethan Gauthier from the Drummondville Voltigeurs.

but check Otto Stenberg...he's the one that dropped the most from Bobby Mac draft list

and I hear he can drive a school bus also

I suspect, depending on health and performance, Monahan might be the winger on the Suzuki or more likely Dach line (if they really want to give Dach second line center, which they should).

That could all change if Dvorak is moved, but at this point, that is a big "if". Seems more like a TDL deal, to me.

plenty of options for sure. we heard Hughes say many times they want Dach to play at center so you may be right with Monahan.

I am also hearing they might want Slaf to play with Monahan who can slow down the game for Slaf and help him in his NHL transition.

Well, I think it makes sense for Monahan to be on Dach's line.

The real question, in my mind is who lines up with CC/Suzuki and SM/Dach. And where does Slaf fit into all of this?

That makes sense.

I would not mind seeing a Slaf / Dach / Anderson line, either, at some point.

tbh, Slaf hasn't shown anything deserving of top6 minutes. he is still very young and has a lot to learn.

This is not a win now team.

You find a place for him in the top 6, get him some PP time.

If not, then just send him to Laval to play first line minutes and and all the power plays.

It would make sense to put Monahan on Dach’s line as the only area where he has struggled was in the dot so Monahan could take some faceoffs.

I think it is that, and last year in combination with figuring out what vets go where in the line up and then they kinda plugged him into one of the remaining spots.

They need to say (frank) it, put the kids int he roles they want them to play in the NHL and then fill the remaining holes with whatever vets they have.

Subtle difference, but that is my thoughts anyways.
