I sign OEL to help the loss of Miller (I realize this is a down grade) . I just think we need one more impact winger above anything else and we can make do with Jones infused, Robertson, Harpur and OEL who add the depth for the left side

Wheeler is my Bickell of this summer I gave him and OEL the exact same two year deals I also think Nosek should be our Goodrow replacement. Natural 4th line center, period - stop. No questions asked, that’s his role

Aside from me thinking its nuts to trade Miller, I feel like l remember reading about how Wheeler was a very unpopular person in the Jets locker room.

Im just gonna hold out hope that whatever system Lav and his team brings helps the kids shine. Im hoping for 25 goals each from the 3 kids.

I get it. I think we want a trade but we have to give to get. To me, we need another impact winger. Jones is good I think they have high hopes for him (replacing Miller for instance). I could see them resign Mikkola too if they did something like that

Every time I see that name Tomas Nosek I think of the character Doctor Andre NoseDyck from that show the league. Always cracks me up lol

Also, if the Drury thinks the org can fill that 6 LD spot, Chicago chose not to qualify this guy. Will wait to see if the coaching staff/front office justify the like of Harpur over Jones. (Contract terms may change my opinion.)

A buy out likely has to occur unless Drury has a massive deal up his sleeves. Were you dealing Kakko, Laf, Trocheck with money retained and a pick for example for PLD?

I believed this going into last year then realized we probably should have lost to the pens in round one the year before. Had some very fortunate breaks in that series. And just makes me think we are good enough right now to be a playoff team but not good enough to make a run. And this roster is maxed out on its cap space so how do you get better. Just hard for me to optimistic going forward unless Drury can make the roster better. I just don’t think it’s good enough as is with this core.

I think the next wave of youth will really be a difference maker. Othmann and Cuylle specifically. They’re both kind of what they lacked vs NJ (scoring, speed, snarl and size). There’s a reason why they weren’t traded, they have high hopes for them. Hopefully by December they’re both regulars in the lineup

Zib was good the latter part of the series against Pitt and into first part of series versus TB. Was brutal last year. Panarin had his one shining moment and that's it the last two playoff seasons

I love Zibanejad

Ive been a fan for 40+ years of this team and he's one of my favorite players who ever put on the uniform, so it pains me to have to be critical of his play, but he really really came up small in that Devils series

Just one comment on the Dubois trade, it's kind of funny that he was traded to the Kings for all those guys (Vilardi, Kupari, Iafallo) who we discussed a million times in our fake trade proposals

If Kupari can live up to his potential, it could be a great trade for Winnipeg. Iafallo is good 3rd line depth player and Vilardi is already a top 6 winger.
