Lol!!

Me too!!
But, in all honesty Pat……you should find a replay/stream of the World Cup Final!! One of the best matches and finals EVER!!!

Might change your mind about maybe even watching the World Cup only…

Ok my friend. As you say, bygones!!

I still respect your stance. To each his/her/they/it’s/them/reptile/highschoolcat/classroomlion/alphabet crew….own….

If you look at his trades. I think he was quite successful there And he did leave Montreal with some very good youngsters. But it did make some gigantic (frank)s ups, but most GM's do at some point.

yeah, I've watched a few world cups, it just isn't for me. hockey gives me plenty enough in terms of watching professional sports, and I've come to realize it's totally fine that way.

he was so good that after he left this historic franchise decided for the first time in over 100 years it was time for a complete rebuild.

Trading was his strong point! But building a complete and consistent and contending team was his down fall.

It was like there was 8 leaks in the ceiling and he only had 2-4 buckets. Constantly robbing Peter to pay Paul.

No vision. All ego.

We can only see the contrast now with Hughes and Gorton at the helm. (Note: I didn’t use HiGo)

So we’re only gaining perspective now

I can't really argue with this statement. But mine was also 100% correct.

Agreed, and you can add the fact that Guhle has looked like a vet since game 1.

His inability to manage the cap and sign bad contracts in desperate moves is what killed him. And then extra panic deals like Dvorak.

When he took the time to make a deal, he usually did well enough.
