I would not bet 1$ on who is going where, except for Bedard at #1.

Can't even place that bet on any site.

But you can bet on Bedard going 2nd for like 90 times your money.

Like that year the Habs drafted Tretiak in '83.... everyone lost their poop and got excited about it, but the Habs could nto get their hands on him.

They also drafted Alfie Turcotte in the 1st round.

I remember when word came on the radio that the Habs has drafted Tretiak in the 7th round, everyone thought Savard pulled a biggest heist on every other team in the league (some wondering if it was in the rules).

oh, so they actually drafted Tretiak in the 7th round..? I guess teams didn't want to take any risks, knowing the soviet federation wouldn't allow him to play in North America...

He did not want to play int he NHL.

The next year, 84, is when the Habs again surprised everyone by drafting Peter Svoboda with the #5 pick. No other team knew he defected and there was this bean-pole kid who did not speak English or French walked out into the middle of the Forum and everyone was bewildered about who this kid was... he looked shocked at the crowd.

They also go Corson (who everyone thought they would pick at 5), Richer and Roy that year too.

Draft was 12 rounds back then.

he had to share it with the other goalies. it was one size fits all.

my BIL was one of the ast trainers for the hawks back in the day. when the hawks played the red army team they dumped all the equipment in the middle of the locker room and players went and got gear.
