He had a bad season... Rather him over Johansson - mr.peanut
Pretty much. 22 year old, 16th OA in a pretty stacked draft class. He'll be an interesting story to follow especially if he shows immediate improvement under St. Louis a la Dach. |

you were saying it speeds up the rebuild. that is what i meant in my reply. nothing about whether it was a good or bad trade. - Gramps28
Remember, it's a deep draft. Montreal pretty much traded 2 firsts for him |

yeah, apparently he's one of the best in the business. habs are one of the richest organizations in the league, they need to be able to offer the best to their players. - Pat1993
and we all know mulder needs all the help he can get. maybe ramsey has good pictures of the body's anatomy that mulder can grasp |

yeah. its why i posted whoa when i saw the trade. i think one of those two picks should have been enough for newhook and didn't the habs add a d-man, too? |

i know you aren't pat. he is listed at 5'11 and 180 so i was trying to head off the " he is short" crowd. - Gramps28
Pat think CC is a giant, he literally looks up to him, so grain of salt!

joking aside, i can't believe that getting rid of that guy wasn't one of the first moves gorton made after getting hired. |

Living here in NY with a lot of friends who are Rangers fans, he was like a God to the players. They loved him. Story is, he messed up the Lindgren injury and so they let him go. After 30 years of service, that's a little nuts IMO. But a good addition by all accounts. |

yep, Hughes must love him a lot.
the difference with the Dach trade is that it was pick #13 for Dach. pick #31 is very different, even in a deep draft. explains why they had to add a 2nd. |

to be fair, he might not be the one who has veto on everything and gives the final greenlight for players to start playing again

really eh? I thought it was more of a Drury thing wanting to bring his own guys... anyway it sounds like he still has a very good reputation.
