Yup.

They could not fit the PLD contract on their books (sign and trade) before the trade and some contracts coming back are somewhat significant. I think they were gonna buy out Wheeler regardless. Did nto seem to be a market for him out there.

Not to mention, they stripped his captaincy away last year, so likely not in their good good anyways.

My dad turned 84 today, which is surreal to me. I'd take 30 more years and check out at that age in a second if it was offered.

I agree with this, but I wouldn't say it necessarily "speeds up" the rebuilding process, Newhook is more of a compliment player than one you build around.

Not great. He's in a home since 2019, as he's had MS for decades. He's all there(ish) mentally, but can't walk or use his left arm much.
