Add....Easton Cowan??? - fifty__missions
For the love of sweet (frank).
Pronman had him ranked 95. He is the only one who ranked the kid. I'll give away the $1 content here:
Background
Cowan's stock trended up as the season went along. A second-round pick in his OHL Draft, Cowan became an important all-situations forward for a top OHL team this season in London.
Analysis
Cowan is a quick and competitive winger. He plays with a lot of energy and courage, not shying from getting to the net or engaging in after-the-whistle activities. Cowan has good skills, and enough hockey sense to make you think he'll score as a pro, but whether there's enough pure offense in his game is a question, especially as a barely 5-foot-11 player. His scoring in the OHL postseason was encouraging though.

Wow what a steal at 28
I hate this (frank)ing team, he is a 4th rounder at best.
Bust.
He'll be on our first line next year.

With only 3 picks, if they like him they can’t wait. Guess they could have traded down, but still risky. - Woderwick
Makes sense, for sure.
Still think they could've gotten 2 picks in the 2nd (either both this season or one this year and one next) and still got him rather easy, though. |

Off the page there some have to say. London is pretty good for developed players but...
And a winger too boot there too so not a D or C.
He was sitting in the other side of the arena too?! 🤣🤣🤣 |

Late 2nd or 3rd, I think - GreatGigInTheSky
I found one list that has him 118th.
Oooof. Never like to see the big reach in round 1. |

Well? A wasted evening. Hype machine will engage. We might see him in 4 years, after going to the Marlies in 2 years. Should have dealt the pick. |

I’m actually Strathroy not Mt. Brydges but that’s where my gf is from
And the people complaining about this pick due to his size seem to think the leafs see him in the NHL next year for some crazy reason. |

New GM wasn't going to come in and tell the scouts to throw out everything they'd worked on all year. From a scouting department personnel point of view, this WAS a Dubas pick. |
