Other than criticizing the picks of Reinbacher and Simashev, there hasn't been much to do. - Monkeypunk
It'll be funny if they turn out to be better than they were projected to be. I wonder if we can ever get a pre-draft show of analysts being shown they were wrong. Kinda like how people have dug up old scouting reports of Tom Brady.

He literally doesn't.
With Karlsson on the ice at 5v5:
CF% 53.59%
FF% 52.48%
SF% 52.32%
GF% 50%
xGF% 53.46%
SCF% 54.61%
HDCF% 55.27%
Without Karlsson on the ice at 5v5:
CF% 44.80%
FF% 45.17%
SF% 44.93%
GF% 36.73%
xGF% 48.13%
SCF% 47.66%
HDCF% 52.03%
Which of those stats show that Karlsson caused more problems than he created? I don't see a single one. - Monkeypunk

From the tweeter.
"League wide, David Kampf ranked 33rd in faceoffs taken and 31st in faceoffs won last year. He ranked ahead of Auston Matthews in both categories.
He ranked 21st among all NHL centers in takeaways and 12th in takeaways per 60.
His 4 x $2.5m contract matches the remainder of NHL comparable Casey Czikas’ contract, though Kampf is 4 years younger." - Fakepartofme
Yeah. It's like buying a new alternator. You don't really want to, it can be annoyingly pricey, and it has no flash, but it's an important part.
Can't be all rims and dingleballs.

I am watching the draft with my son.
I am giving in depth scouting reports to him as picks are made, and making up criticism for picks way to early. He has no idea how I know so much about these guys.
I'll confess to him I don't know poop once the show is over. |

My guess here for the Yotes is Sandin-P, unless there's a guy in the 40's that they really like. |

People thought Arizona might make some deals but they forget they don't like spending money so just keep rights to players |

No trades, eh? - .HOHO.
Think the trades usually happen after Day 1 and into day 2. Unless it involves a pick in the 1st.
Sucks. |

So Simashev and But were guys that had an outside chance of being around into the mid-twenties. A couple more offboard picks might leave more talent around at 28.

Guy is probably the most important penalty killer on the team.
But, I guess it is ok to judge players only on their cellies...

Good thing the NHL allows salary retention - Santo_44
Good thing the leafs still dont have room even with 30% retained unless they move some major cap.
Not too worried |

Yeah but then we get "meh" deals and not big moves like a Nylander for a 1st + or a team like Buffalo moving their 1st for Hellebyuck.
Boring.

Hopefully Musty falls, but I wouldn't be shocked if he's gone in the next few picks.

Because he scores so few goals. |
