I think so far they have been doing alright in my books and don't really have anything to complain about. They SEEM to be going in the right direction with all the off ice hires etc.
I was upset with losing Romanov but I'm glad they made that move now.
I would have rolled the dice on Michkov, but a highly rated RD is not a bad choice either.
Wingers are easier to acquire so I guess they thought he was on their BPA list AND he was RD.

I can criticize when I feel it’s warranted. When it comes to drafting prospects for which a whole team of professional scouts have worked hours and hours and I’ve not seen Michkov play one single game? No i’m not gonna criticize and nor should you really, unless of course you’ve seen him play and know everything about him, and you’re 110% certain that Russia wont pull the military service card. Unless that’s the case, you should take a deep breath and calm down.

Do not have to calm down-- I have seen him play 17 games to be exact-- Reinbacher 7 times--- you do not draft a 3-4 d over a guy who could score 40 goals-- bottom line. Not sure why people are saying he might not come over-- there has not been report saying he is not coming over. Before people comment about my credentials I am a Northern Ontario scout ( one of three )for the North Bay Battalion of the OHL.

like we were saying in the other thread, perhaps habs management determined he was the best player available to them. they seemed pretty confident about the pick at least.
