They can’t keep losing, eventually it’s got to turn around.
Word is they’re going after Huberdeau, 60 point players are in high demand.

- K-man25

At 50% retention it could be considered

You'll always be a 3rd rounder in my eyes.

- boonerbuck

I’ll always be a third rounder on hockeydb as well.

I will tell you why. I personally think you are dumb as fuck and go out and wake up every day looking to go out and tell people that they are wrong. You said earlier something that I said five years ago and I don't care enough to remember sh1t you said yesterday. You have got to let go your infatuation of me pal.

I know there is not much to do in YK but get a hobby. You think a big trip is going to Edmonton for a vacation and I see it as are you crazy. You come out taking shots as you did today and yesterday and when I swing back you go all self righteous and look to the other idiot to come to your rescue.

If you or the other racist never said anything to me again I would be perfectly fine with that but you two morons need to go out stir poop and then hide behind the discrimination card. Stay on your side of the fence and I would probably never say anything to you again seeing I don't find your takes interesting.

I can see why you've ragequit HB multiple times, you have such thin skin

You’d be so lucky just to off-load his contract.

That’s gotta stop!!

It would be really nice to have players that can re-coop some 2nd round value in the near future.

I like the last two drafts for the Canucks. I wish they had more picks, but whatever. I think Lekkermaki and D-Petey will play, so that, to me, is a good draft.

I like it but it really is wait and see how everything plays out.

Not having that 2nd round pick hurt. They wasted the cap space it created and there was a lot of good players in that round that could help this team for years to come. Oh well.

Willander was a smart pick. I'm really happy to be not disappointed like last years first round selection. That was a bummer and very few felt otherwise.

- boonerbuck

I think it's still too early to close the book on Lekkerimaki, but this years first round choice was definitely an improvement.

He’ll never live up to that contract, I think we see him improve now that Sutter isn’t coaching, but he’ll never get 100 points again.

Treliving giving the Flames 1 last kick in the nuts before he quit.

Going to be a few surprises, Arizona going off the board with the 6th then again at 12th, not saying they’re bad picks just didn’t think they’d go that early. That’s why they scout and we criticize.
- K-man25

What really gets me about that is if you're taking Russians, why not take Michkov at 6 and hope Simashev makes it to 12?

I think that last year's draft may produce more NHLers than this year's.

2020s draft looks like it could be Jacob Truscott all by his lonesome. 😒 That's still a maybe.

Michkov even had the same colour blazer on as the Phoenix staff, do you think maybe he had an inkling?
Agree though, Simashev would have been there at 12.

Calling a bust would be extreme I agree but still... it feels like a weak selection.

It hilarious even thinking he’s a bust, the kid is a good young player! He’s still 18 years old, turns 19 late July. He hasn’t played a lot of hockey over the past couple years because of Covid and a case of mono. I would expect a D+3 season to be realistic to show some serious NHL upside. He was a good pick.

Wingers are always a bit if they're not top 5 talent imo, but as was mentioned, tough to know what we have until he actually plays some more hockey.

Between him and Willander I'm kind of tempted to go see them play at the WJC in Sweden

They should be at development camp next week. That's closer 😉

Probably the only two players that Van will have at WJC this year. Probably D-Petey as well.

Main camp is in Victoria in September. I'll probably endure the 45 minute drive a couple of times for the open sessions.
