Good pick, Simachev was long gone so i think this is the next best thing. Can skate, pass and defend. That's better than most we have

I feel like dealing with yzerman is like dealing with the devil. Like he knows something you don’t. Maybe he created some urgency that led to the chipmunk overpaying (IMHO) considering this year’s draft. Haven’t really seen hronek enough to form an opinion whether I like him or not, just seemed like a lot with respect to how bare prospect cupboards are.

For sure on stillman, that was a brutal deal. 2nd round pick for a million cap savings.

Hronek (age/prime) didn't align with the fact that Detroit are already re-starting the building that SY inherited and has continued to fail since he took over in 19. I think we ripped them the fawk off. He fawked up the Vrana/Mantha deal, Nedeljkovic blunder, Copp, Perron, Chiarot signings. Dude's a gimp.

People get mesmerized by the boatload of picks he accumulates, but realistically the majority of them have/will been terrible. Raymond, Seider have worked out, but they were surefire picks. Yesterday he continued his mediocrity by drafting 2 safe, IMO terrible picks that won't amount too much.

Both Arizona and Philadelphia pick up top rated goaltenders in the second round.
