First two picks in draft are D! Wow, I just never thought I’d see the day. Let’s just go with an all D draft and fix this hot mess! He was much higher on pretty much every draft board

I would have much preferred Cataford who went two picks later. Fudge.

Hunter Brzustewicz was ranked as a second round talent by most public rankings. Grabbing that kind of RD at No.71 seems like good value for the #Canucks

Only a couple of scouts listed on EP have Brzustewicz going lower than the 2nd round. Good value with this pick.

I saw Kitchener played half a dozen times. He is smart, he moves really well, he has a good hockey IQ. He's just not dynamic, he's not great at anything one thing and definitely does not try very hard defensively. He fell for a reason. Not that he can't improve though.

It’s a high-value position the organization has long overlooked. Good pick!!

So is Wallinder projected more to be like Joulevi or like Griffin Reinhart?

Highest scoring undrafted defensemen in the OHL last year - right up there with (drafted) kids like Del Mastro, Mailloux

Buying him out immediately
