Nice to see multiple Defensemen drafted earlier than the 4th or 5th round that's for sure. I wonder how far away Willander is, they're probably hoping he's ready after next season

I like that he's going to BU, I'm guessing two years there and he comes up. You never can tell!

Yeah I mentioned last night, I think for europeans (especially Dmen) it's a very good idea to come over for college hockey to get used to NA ice, should make the transition to pro hockey much smoother.

Quite the pick. Older defender in the draft who put up pedestrian points in a 2nd tier league. He is going to BU in two years.

They need to keep loading up with D&C next season, fill the pipeline back up.

Love rounds 1 & 3 but the rest screams Mike Gillis bad!

Fine with round 1. After that Ray or Minivan may want to give Cammi some tips on drafting.

Agreed, Brzustewicz was ranked higher than they took him, sounds like a solid puck-mover and Mynio is defensively minded with a huge +/-, his ceiling is Chris Tanev. Great picks

If they can get him to engage all over the ice in all zones. You might get a player like Brandon Montour. Otherwise you might have to settle for an offensive D like Sean Durzi. Or an AHL stud.

When watching Kitchener play he wasn't good but it was hard to ignore that he was one of the more intelligent players on the ice when he wanted to be.

No, two excellent picks. Both need years of development, like 99.999% of all third round picks, though.

Like I said earlier, the Canucks seem to be favoring smarts over all else these last 2 drafts

When a player falls five to ten spots I wonder why, when they fall thirty spots it raises more questions. I mean basically every other team passed him over by real scouts. Again wait and see.

If you guys like the pick that is great.

I don't see much of a needle mover, I see more of a Bear or Stecher. Nothing wrong with that and as you pointed out third round picks.

I would have preferred more of a bigger meaner stay home guy in the third round on, but it is just my preference.

He wasn't very good any of the 4 times I watched Kamloops out here. Meek, and perimeter. Not a guy that's there for the tough areas or board battles. Not what you want in a winger.

It's the third round, there are no "needle movers" lol....and truth be told, no one in here is in any position to give an expert opinion on who they took. Just gotta wait and see. It's a long-game thing outside of the top 15 of the first round.

Depth of the draft, the Flyers got a kid who would probably go first overall in a normal draft at #7.
