RNH has scored 25 goals twice in his career.

Nylander has scored 25 3 times already.

Nylander has played in the NHL as a regular player since 2016/2017 where RNH has been an NHL regular since 2013-2014.

It's clear Nylander is the much better asset here and you are suggesting the Leafs would have to give him up +?

You are likely to not win any trades for Marner, Matthews or Nylander and you can't get rid of Tavares. The only real chance is to run it back again, with more shuffled deck chairs, and pray.

It isn't much, and it won't work, but for as long as Matthews will sign it is the best shot they have.

The league will never let the Leafs get "tougher" like other teams do. We have all the evidence we need to see how that works out.

It's not "praying", it's called sports. Winning is hard. You can't do it without top end talent the leafs have and then the right mix of other guys, health and etc.

You're probably a fan who also said Kessel can't win but he won 3 cups. 2 he was a core part of the team.
Probably also thought Ovechkin couldn't win and then he did.
