Well we will see what they’re getting paid. I have a feeling there wouldn’t be much for a player like Debrincat but who knows maybe these guys got a lower aav for more term.

Let's do the math. At least one 2 minute penalty per game, 82 games in the season, times 7 years - that's 1,148+ penalty minutes we can expect. I wonder what that will cost per penalty minute.

My honest thought is you trade a JGP, Wahlstrom + for a Hanifin or Debrincat and then you try and sign a cheaper 3 line C or a 4th line C and move Cizikas up and down.
Hell, Jonathan Toews would be a great 3rd line C if he came on a short, cheap deal. We're not the NYR though and aren't allowed team friendly deals
