Happy Birthday.
I have a Birthday story for you, a buddy of mine got a silk shirt for his Birthday from his wife, so he's showing me his new shirt and I light up a spliff with big chunks of hash in it and one pops out a burns a big hole in his new shirt, he says, at least I got to wear it for 25 mins. His wife was pissed
Wow! I lived there in the 70’s when the mountains were all on fire. You could watch it from the patio every evening, was a crazy time. Only good thing that came out of that, was a whole bunch of new roads up there to explore on the dirt bike.
I’ll have to check with my buddies that are still there.

Pretty sad. Lot's of people flicking cigarette butts and such around in windy dry conditions.

A quick mini doc on punk/Oi! band and infamous West Ham supporters, Cockney Rejects. These guys were hard asses. Often had to fight the rival supporters at their shows around England... had a pretty famous brawl against a large group of neo nazis that crashed one of their shows that didnt end well for the nazis. The two main guys in the band were boxers. This was one of the bands I loved as a teenager.
Early 80's anthem if you were in the punk scene...
That trade is worth doing on a few levels but it goes against the ‘playoffs now approach’ to a degree. I believe it was Vantel hot for Zacha & he seems to have proved to be at least a good 3C. Idk if a 2C but has that upside maybe. Lysell & the 1st & cap space does round out the trade to make sense. Miller is the best piece in that trade & Lysell is smallish.

My wife was just walking the dog yesterday and some woman, who could have just as easily butted out her cigarette on the road but instead flicked it in the tall dry grass 😡
I'm bored at work so I guess I will share some thoughts,
The off season is in the dog days now and not much will happen until the end of August/ early September.
I am curious or more acurately put, intrigued at the defense as rebuilt in it's current form. I feel like with Hronek healthy(fingers crossed he actually is) the 2nd line will get a big boost. I think just the fact that the second pair will have an above average puck mover on it is enormous. In small sample size from last year it was very noticeable how quickly he threw the puck back up to the forwards, he lacked the hesitation we had seen from Myers OEL.
I really like Hirose, and I feel like I need to echo Vantel's point about the Garland, Aman, Joshua line and again back to my point on the puck mover....with Hirose I feel like that line can transition to offence quicker.
I think Aman is the ideal 3rd line center and he will continue to grow under Tocchet. He has enough offensive skill to take advantage of offensive opportunities and make opposing teams at the very least be aware of him. All the while he won't really hurt you on the defensive side of the puck.
The 4th line is a bit of a mystery to me now and I can't come up with a clear picture of what I want to have there. That said if a player like Tristan Neilson can be that pain in the ass 10-12 mins or less per game who forechecks like a demon and stirs poop up but mostly makes the 4th line a problem. I guess Studnicka is ok but I haven't seen enough yet to say he can be a useful player. I find myself envious of teams with a 4th line that is just a nightmare to play against, and it's no coincidence that those teams tend to be the top teams. I am not sure what to do about Podkolzin as well, he could fight for a middle six role or be in the stands. I liked De Guiseppe in small doses last year he feels like he could be a guy, or maybe we just rotate through a few players depending on opponent (ie put a speedier player in for fast teams heavier player for bigger teams etc.)
Sorry for the long post just some thoughts I had rolling around in my head.

I hope for your birthday you will receive the gift of common sense and draft a better roster for your pool instead of the nonsense you have been going with.
I think Aman Dakota and Garland are going to be a good line. I also think it will be Leblanc Pearson and Blueger as the shut down line and PK line. That is how I see the bottom six forming out.
VHG will be disappointed seeing Nils b1tch playing top six, but 10 minutes later he will see a 40 year old in a short skirt and it won't matter anymore.
(I actually meant to post this on NuckNabs post not yours.)

I agree about the Nils in the top six that is where I see him this year on a bit of a platoon maybe? with Podkolzin I really feel like Podz is either going to figure it out or bust out this year. He reminds me of most young players who stand in awe of the top players and then they either decide to join those players and dictate what happens or get stuck permanently in awe of the best players. Nils is ready I see a future for him of a Marchand ultra lite, he can be a bit dirty and get away with it!

I think a year in Abby will do him a world of good and it is no big deal.Bring him in for our playoff run.

Like I said before he'll be in concussion protocol or LTIR before you know it. You think EP getting body slammed was bad? He best be bulking up this summer b/c he's got a world of abuse coming his way unless they toughen up as a team.
