Finally nice to see that Canucks didn't make the list this year.
Hey it is the dog days give me a break. I am not fooled this is a deep team at all, but at least now they seem to have a plan and look to be heading in the right direction. They picked up some nice pieces for the Abby team and some future players that look to have potential.

I like what Colorado did. They seem primed for another run. Even without Landeskog, their cap friendly looks pretty good. Couple bargain tries. Drouin low risk, french guys seems to bounce back there every once in a while with the Quebec connection that seems to have endured. Thought they might try and bring back Duchene but Johansen probably better choice. Their D is amazing and I think either goalie has as good a chance to be an Adin Hill as any. |

I don't think they have that much talent in the system yet to push vet players off the roster. - VANTEL
Agree not yet but can see it in 2-3yrs from now. Hope Woo can take a big stride to be a legit call up. |

Other GMs making the same mistakes we made. It is not a horrible contract but a typical UFA overpay, too much term contract.

I see their window closing soon. Just my opinion even though they have MacK. I see it turning, now spending to the max, players getting older and long term. Time will tell.
I think LA had a good summer, and Vegas will always have the best players wanting to live there, so teams need to have a plan now.

They got rid of duchene because he was a toxic cancer. I think RJ is done but we shall see |

VAN felt it was more important to go on a winning streak after they were eliminated.

LAK shaping up very nicely. PAC Division is ramping up good up at the top.
Canucks looking for a WC spot
Flames 👎
SJ in a rebuild
Anaheim as well
The Central is going through interesting changes as well.
All in all it’ll come down to divisional & conference games that’ll decide who’s in who’s out.
We’ll need a much better home record to have any realistic hope. |

Moore was drafted by Chicago, if you're talking about Oliver Moore. |

But it is still Columbus and you know players will want out soon. It is the US version of Calgary.

Players don’t quit. Fans are silly if they think they would. I rather see them play to win at all times for pride & jobs & the next season always. |

That’s why I said in 3 years those prospects might make roster. If not they become Woos and Rathbones or even worse OJ. |

All 3 had bad injury setbacks. That hurts in their development years.
Develop D for 3rd pairing & depth is the goal outside of Willander & D Petey. Drafting more always wise but still the need to stock up on C’s.
We’ve a good stable of G’s & ok at W. |

I would bet Willander and DPetey become part of the roster and after that I don't know. Soucy may turn out to be a hell of a signing or an Oh Hell signing. He is still fairly young and three years is a long ways away.

On the cheap 4th line works for me but would still need a winger moved out.
So much depends on how well Pod & Hog do in camp or if another surprises. |

And many other fringe type D prospects & draftees that might develop into NHLers. Eg Truscott will be the Wolverines Captain. |

I still don’t get why Sanheim is sought after given 8/6.25m. What is it they see in him? - Nighthawk
They should be shifting to finding a center for the 3rd line... an actual upgrade. If Petey or Miller go down, Blueger or Aman is all of a sudden a top 6 C. Serious hole there.

Yes if those two don’t make top 4 for Canucks in a few years it will be another set back. As for the rest always good to fill in the bottom. If not can always be signed or traded for to get. |

Dregger dropped this rumor. His actual quote has the Flyers trying hard to trade him to the Canucks. Perhaps the interest from PA isnt high.... people are taking in the information in reverse it seems.
