I think WC is out of reach for both our teams this year. I do see us going in different directions though. I think Calgary also has a problem with ownership. Cheap bastards. - VANTEL

Well Alvin traded a 1st and 2nd in one of the best drafts to come around in a long time for an injured D, who played a few games only to get injured again. I’m just using Bear as a comparison for Soucy. - K-man25
I'd really worry more about the Flames and why no one wants to play there!

He was shut down from his old injury. 17oa isn’t finding a proven top 4 RHD. Provorov wasn’t a bargain. Didn’t see Bear knocking ppl around or a defensive force or PK. |

I think the Canucks can tighten defensively quite a bit over the past several years while maintaining an above league average offence. |

Yea this is key to improvement as it was their biggest weakness. OEL and Myers in top 4 dragged them down. Why Bear looked so much better than them.
So yes two actual proven NHL D now are added. These guys weren’t spare parts on other teams. So they’ll be better than all of them. Especially on the PK. Which cost Canucks several games. |

I think she is a flake, but I also think she has the ear of certain media and certain NHL employees including a Canucks source.
As she said "regardless if I am right or not about it has already happened it can happen"
My thinking though if it does create lets say a 3 mil cap space window but who replaces Myers? So far the options would be Woo Juulsen or McWard and I don't believe any of them are as good at third pair.
The ideal time to me is trade him at TDL when you get a better return. - VANTEL
Philip johannson might surprise. |

I was only bugging you with my first post
Do we know if they are better? Not until we see them play. Same as you don't know that they are not better until you see them.
Nate Schmidt is a very decent NHL Dman and he sucked here same as countless other players like Bonino D1ckenson and the list goes on.
Won't know until we see them. - VANTEL
Coaching has improved it appears, Foote and Gonchar coaching dmen should help. |

They may have one or two that could in the next two years.

I think they made some good additions last year. I think the entire farm system is better.

Ian Cole switching to #82 out of respect to Luc Bourdon. Pretty classy move on his behalf, unlike the Canucks, who never made him aware of the last time that number was worn. - Reubenkincade
Nice move by Cole.
This organization is a disgrace.

I am sure most of us remember when someone wore an unofficially retired number, didn't turn out so well. |

Couple points.
Ryan Johnson, sign Nolan Dillingham.
Clean hit, but at a development camp..... - manvanfan
What a meanie Dillingham is, hitting a player in a vulnerable situation.
Like fighting, it is time to ban hitting, can't have players getting injured.
I wonder if they should consider eliminating players getting skates Sharpened, to reduce the chance of serious cuts, maybe even playing with a foam puck to also reduce injuries.

Might slow the game down a tad, but as long as the players don't get hurt, then I am all for it. |

Probably need to put padding on the sticks and puck as well.
