Want him? We'll take picks or one of the several players wanting out of the toxic environment which is Calgary.

This management group is just as bad as the previous regime. - Reubenkincade
I still don't have a lot to say about them yet. There needs to be a big improvement this year IMO or yeah I agree.
As far as Nils, I think you will see him stay with the Canucks (or traded) but his role will change to playmaker. If he is sent down there is no cap wasted. I expect a 30 assist year from him.

Just to many similarities between the 2 groups, trade high draft picks for a cast-off rhd from another team, sign a young player to a million plus contract for accomplishing nothing, trade several picks for questionable age-gap players, etc, etc.
On a bright note, the UFA signings aren't extremely exorbitant |

Hey I get your frustration and you are not wrong. You anger is a little high, but it is deserved.
I have no problem with Hoglander signing at all. I will make a bold prediction that he plays with Miller for stretches this year seeing he has turned out to be a playmaker and passer.
I see a lot of GMs making dumb decisions more and more so it is not only Canucks. Like I said I understand anyone's frustration.

Flat cap & JB’s mess gets anyone a mulligan. Sure some picks traded out but wasn’t much else for options. The new D corps will be under the microscope though. Imo the real opportunity for change is only just begun. Wait n see time.
Nils is not waiver exempt & his time is now to be a regular. He has plenty to prove.
Coaching had a honeymoon to begin their tenure & will be under the gun to build a new team identity right outta the gate.
Overall it’s a season of little room for error or slumps or inconsistency. |

I am thinking about getting the AHL feed for the Abby Canucks this year. They look like they are starting to get a decent roster. A little toughness and some decent prospects.

Castoff is an exaggeration but I get your overall pessimism.
Past years is water under the bridge. Time to look ahead. I realize it’s show me time for you. |

The farm will be fun times & an indicator of the overall organization improvement just not on the ice in the NHL. Looking bright there. |

The flat cap kicked a lot of asses. I know what JB did in his reign and it was less that s spectacular but the NHL had a little to do with some bad decisions also.
The year they went to flat cap the league announced weeks earlier that there will be a cap increase of three mil and we went out right after and signed Toffoli. They also slammed a 3 mil penalty for the Luongo situation.
They brought in Schmidt and he failed miserably as did Holtby. I am glad we didn't sign Marky six x six.
I agree Benning did not do a good job at all but it is not all as black and white as most think. I knew and was very vocal back in the day of Gillis about the mess he is leaving and even said back in 2012 it is going to take years and years of hard times. It didn't help they brought in a new GM who was even worse than the last one, a new coach and a new pres.
This is the Canucks and this is our history. I think I am sort of use to it now. |

Yes there was plenty of compounding going on from way back & rebounding is a slow & arduous task. Lost on most fans. |
