So Calgary papers have nothing good to say about the Lames so they’re writing about the Canucks. Future Flame? They love our castoffs.

The Black Crowes are opening for Aerosmith in Seattle later this year. Should be a great double bill.

Yipes two of the worst shows I have seen were Aerosmith in the 90's and the Black Crowes in 2006. Having said that Aerosmith were having issues at the time plus they were 'sober' which probably didn't help. Check the set list on the Black Crowes show our show was just a big jam session they turned to B-side tracks and 12 minute versions of them it was quite bad...plus barely played any radio tracks which is really what the band was known for.
Got a chuckle when after their first album some clown writer at Rolling Stone magazine said the Black Crowes were the next 'Rolling Stones'. Good times but I do hope these shows are great for you.

I went to an outdoor concert in Sandpoint Idaho a few years back. Steve Miller was outstanding but there was an opening act that played first, guy was all alone on the stage. That was my first look at Matt Anderson, he was worth the price of the tickets by himself. I’ve seen him 3 times since. Check him out. https://youtu.be/Myc2oJGetyg - K-man25
Been following Anderson since before he released his first CD way back when he was touring the pub scenes. Great person, Great talent. The best version I ever heard of 'Can't you See' (Marshall Tucker) was done by Anderson. Gets regular rotation on CKUA too.

Interesting. I had heard those same comments about Aerosmith before the wife and I saw them in 97 at the Pacific Coliseum. I believe the tour was for the Nine Lives album. I am a long time musician so I tend to be kind of pissed if it's a lousy performance. I thought they were spot on, great tight sound and Steven Tyler's vocals were incredible. Here we are over 25 years later, so I have no idea how they'll sound as octogenarians, but if I'm going a live show, I have to at least like the catalog. Not an ounce of interest in seeing Taylor Swift or whoever the latest trend is.
Never have seen the Black Crowes but I do like them. They do sort of remind me of the Stones, but a harder edge. JMO.
I had just seen a heading from CA about Canucks and Matt Dumba.
I did not read it so I am not sure what they said but it is something I can see Canucks trying to do. I have thought for a while trade Myers and sign Dumba short term has been their MO this summer.

He’s got a powerful voice, I was blown away the first time I saw him. Had to go to his merch table just to talk to the man.
