My guess at what is happening is SJ is waiting to move Karlsson to free up cap, then Canucks trade Myers Bueauvillier and a third for Leblanc.

The whole point is if they want to sign Dumba. They don't have cap room without moving at least 4 mil IMO. So trading Myers at TDL does not get you Dumba. SJ does not want Garland and they want to get rid of Leblanc.

You need to find a deal to accommodate all of that to get Dumba. It will not be a favorable deal for Canucks, but is something they should look into.
