You should blog for us. We need another Calgary point of view about how we suck and are all going to hell.

Everyone.
Off the subject.
I agree with your comment about Dumba yesterday. I think if Canucks swap Myers for Dunba then PA has had a solid offseason. I would even like to look at Dumba for 3 years not two.
You add the 2 or 3 D prospects we have now and I think things might turn around sooner than 3 years from 3 years. That would be a very decent top 4 for the D that could drive other teams crazy in the other end. |

If we make that swap, and with our young guys improving, I feel we'll have done more to fix our weaknesses from last season than most other teams and we could potentially see playoffs. Biggest if would be team chemistry. |

I still am not sure if it is a playoff team but it is a lot better. If Pearson stays on LTIR then Dumba can be made without moving Myers and for once in his entire term of his contract Myers will be an asset at TDL. I mean hang onto him for a couple of months as a # 6 guy and trade him for a second-round pick.
Next year will be a stronger UFA pool and Canucks will have more money and hopefully Boeser Garland and Beauvillier will have a stronger trade value.
I know we get tired of one more year theme, but this could actually be the one more year. Have a good year and at TDL be sellers not buyers and go all in next year.

I'd rather ride Myers to the TDL than sign Dumba. At the very least Myers is off the books next season. That money will be better spent next offseason or for cap flexibility for a trade. |

Yeah keep Myers, we could use another good draft pick. |

I just think there are better options available than trading him to sign Dumba. Shouldn't you be making Haliberrysbutt? |

Yeah I think so too. You keep him until February and trade him regardless of how the team is doing. |

This. We've rode it out this far. Plus I really like the idea of him getting more time with Foote's Coaching. |

I still would like Dumba though. If Pearson stays on LTIR like Dreger is suggesting, then you can have both with a 22 man roster.

As long as the term isn't longer than a couple of years and the money is right. IMHO Dumba is fading and nothing more than a stopgap that buys time. I think some team is gonna offer him more than what is within our range. |

It is from CF but keep in mind they have Studnicka DiGuissepi Rathbone Dries Briesbois listed as active NHL players. Misleading.

I knew they'd come around. Even Neemer has softened his stance somewhat. |
