ECHL now ejects a player after his second fight in a game...they've also changed several rules to match the NHL/AHL rulebook.
Slowly eroding fighting out of the game. Soon it will be after one fight 👎 |

The pussifying of the game has been going on for years. Game is going to be like watching figure skating within 5 years. |

Yep. The funniest thing is I don’t think there’s anyone on here that dislikes lameriello save for one or two people. This is why I don’t even bother with this nonsense. Nonsensical nonsense always. - Cptmjl
I don't dislike him and I was glad that they brought him in. I do think it's time for a new GM. |

Maybe but that’s not happening. I’m hoping for a little Lameriello magic before he retires. With that magic NOT being signing anymore players to long term contracts. |

Yeah it is. I like watching skill thrive line anyone else but there’s a fine line between doing that and ruining the game. They are teetering towards the latter imo. |

I feel the same. I hate to think we can only go after a Garth level GM and anyone else cannot be questioned because they are not a failure like Garth. More should be expected of from a Hall of Fame GM. Islanders are not the most exciting team in terms of bringing in big name players or their playing style. If we need to watch every word on this site, it's not worth it anymore. |

Say whatever you want. That's the whole point of this site. Who gives a crap about what some random person on the internet thinks. |

I would have the same thoughts if Bill Torrey were GM. The team has taken a step back the last few years after the two ECF runs. We can say all the road games and Covid hurt the team two years ago. We can also say the Islanders made the playoffs last year because of an epic collapse by the Pens. |

In fairness Lou inherited a pretty bad situation. One positive about his tenure is that he’s added to this team every year and has attempted to address needs. In the past they sat on their hands and “believed in the room” having the same results. Personally I love having a GM who makes trades and isn’t afraid to sling picks and prospects to bring in talent. |

Lou brought a change to this team. Players actually want to play here now. It's not a clown show anymore. Will we as fans be happy with everything he does? Absolutely not. But I will take his leadership over Garth any day of the week. He just needs to make a hockey trade right now. Will we all be happy with that? No. But it needs to be done and if he thinks it will help this team, who are we to say different?
By the way , I'm really thinking Debrincat is not the trade we are looking for. If it's out there with the media, it's not going to happen. Just my 2 cents. |

I was not happy when Lou brought in Chara and Parise and then just Romanov. If Lou brings in a Debrincat type player after getting Bo last year, I'll be very happy. You have to remember this is an older team and not an up-and-coming team so the clock is ticking and it's not fans being unreasonable. If the Islanders go into the season with this same roster and no scoring wing, it's a huge failure. |

You actually read this site? Now I understand. - nyisles7
If one is narrow minded and only reads a couple of sites. How does one become rounded? How does one obtain the different views and information? Frank Seravalli comments were why I posted the link. A guy that is pretty reputable in the industry. But you do not need me to too you this...
Now you say you understand but do you? Do you know that Eye on Isles posted an article that contradictory to what Seravalli wrote? So by understanding, does that mean you agree with the site or Seravalli?
Oh hockeyson, one must clear mind like Zamboni clear ice. |

Somebody else has to go. They only have 300,000 plus left and they have to sign Whalstrom. I wonder who is going?? - Vukota
Maybe he loading up for a trade? I know wishful thinking. |
