if Motte is thinking he is getting more than 800k from someone he is crazy
- jimbro83

Same with Halak thinking he is getting $1.5 million again. should have taken $1 mil from Rangers and stayed

Brutal thread today. It’s been a good week for the Rangers. Picked a really promising prospect and despite having no cap space they filled the gaps better than I was expecting. Rangers will have a legit 4th line for the first time in years and added some vets who have won cups and shouldn’t block Laf and Kakkos ice time. I’m a numbers and stats guy too, but they can be very subjective. Would love to see those who post charts provide a little context. Theres always a ‘why” behind the numbers, posting charts and not taking the time to research the underlying causes and provide context is lazy and potentially misleading.

Given the cap hell the team is in, it was about as good a UFA period as you could hope for. If one wanted to discuss the reason we’re in cap Hell to begin with that would also be fair

how relieved are you that a different topic got you off the hook for your ridiculous Blake Wheeler take?

He’s a nice player but best served as a trade piece. I’ve said this for two years

In a perfect world, the team would have added fourth line players who were younger with more speed. That option was not available, especially at the price points Drury could pay. Pitlick adds some speed while Bonino is good between the dots and the fourth line hopefully has a true identity now.

Not what he said and you know that. Pointing out that Vegas won with a bigger blue line and Jones is small, which is something he has been battling since he was drafted. To me, not a precluding factor but possibly a limiting one.

I can bring that back if you ask. Blake Wheeler isn't good.

Why do you want to me to stop talking about certain topics and then re-engage me on said topic? I don't understand.

If we didn’t have Fox, ok keep Jones. His best attribute is PP QB tho. Fox isn’t going anywhere as we know

I mean if Jones turned into half the player a guy like Samuel Girard is/was I'd be happy. especially for a mid round pick. But because He's not big, he's autmatically bad( i know you don't think that.) How the Rangers try to target players who are good. Cap space has hindered that sure. But how about they also target players who aren't bad either. I don't think I'm asking for the world there.

Every season there’s a new “it” identity that teams try to copy. How big was Colorado’s defense two seasons ago? Don’t need a hulking defense to win. Trouba, Schneider, key are plenty big. Lindy plays big. Fox is fox. 3rd pairing LD size is not going to make or break. If Jones is good enough he should get it. If not, we have another great option there now

You seem really triggered by this. Again, Blake Weheeler is currently bad. different data points all point to that. sorry that made you this angry.
