Would probably need to get a third party to retain some of his contract.

Yes if the numbers do not match and we can get a good return then he should be moved. Marner's next contract scares me a lot more though.
- jribout

Bolded is one of my reasons why I would trade him..also not a Marner hater either.

Much tougher/poop disturber forward group. No room for Robertson though. Wonder if they move him for a D

- PlatosRepucklic

They can’t afford to move Robertson for a D. They might have to move out a little $ to be able to pay for Sammy as it is (even assuming they move Murray’s $).

Doctors say obesity and diabetes do appear to put people at higher risk of severe disease, but the biggest risk factor is those who have skipped getting their vaccine.

This is where the Omicron wave is starting to show its worst side: inside the ICU at Toronto General, which is filling up with critically ill COVID-19 patients, the majority of whom are unvaccinated.

Doctors say obesity and diabetes do appear to put people at higher risk of severe disease, but the biggest risk factor is those who have skipped getting their vaccine.

In Canada the unvaccinated make up less than 13 per cent of the population.

At Toronto General, which cares for the sickest COVID-19 patients, 70 per cent in the intensive care unit are not vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated people are still far less likely to be hospitalized with the virus. According to the Ontario Science Table’s online dashboard, on Tuesday there were 762 hospitalizations per one million people among the unvaccinated, compared to 171 hospitalizations per one million people among those with at least two vaccine doses.

What scares me about Marner is that he makes 10.9 now. He'll definitely be looking for more on his next deal. Is it worth it to sign Nylander long term and move Marner before this happens? I'm not sure

OK so this is classic anti-vax arguing now, intentionally lie, and make up conspiracy theories blaming the left.
- Aetherial

No. You're just highly susceptible. A large portion of the population is. Now, you shouldn't be upset with the messenger and it shouldn't divide us either. The portion of "conspiracy theorists", does, and will, continue to grow because it is based of actual evidence.

I hear ya. If Marner was asking for what he makes now on his next contract I would be saying it’s maybe a tick much. He’s already there and gonna get more is a big yikes for me

It is funny when one argues ridiculous takes on either Marner or Nylander that you are labeled as a hater of one and/or a wife of the other.

I think Russia and Ukraine are equally terrible regimes and a select few are making tons of money while normal people face death and misery
- drexel
OK, I've read all of the nonsense and misinformation on here. Why is there war in Ukraine? Barack Obama convinced Ukraine to give up their nuclear weapons, in exchange for a guarantee from Russia, that they wouldn't invade. Part of the deal gave Russia sovereignty over Crimea. Part of the deal was that Ukraine would not join NATO in the future. In 2014, however, the U.S. started building Chemical and Biological weapons factories in Ukraine. That enraged Russia and they threatened retaliation. Trump was then elected in 2016 and soothed the Russian's fear and said that they were going to be dismantled under his administration.

Fast-forward to 2018 and the midterm elections. Before these weapons of mass destruction could be mothballed, the Democrats regained control of the Senate. They stonewalled the government from removing these factories and then Covid hit, then the 2020 election happened. With a Democratic Presidency, Senate and House, the Military Industrial Complex decided that they wanted regime change in Russia. Putin made a very bad strategic decision to mass men and weaponry along the border with Ukraine. It was originally supposed to be a show of force. The idiot Biden administration decided to Sabre rattle and backed Russia into a corner. Fearing that they were going to lose face, they decided to try to win a quick, decisive victory and put an end to the Chemical and Biological weapons factories in Ukraine. Their blitzkrieg went off the rails and they were bogged down in Ukraine and there they sit, still trying to save face. Of course, we're spending billions of dollars to prop up the corrupt Ukrainian regime and inflation is hurting us all financially. The Military Industrial Complex are the one's getting rich and the politicians of all stripe that do their bidding are too. We are all suckers!

Agreed. BOTH real good players man. Flaws like every other player. As a collective I would think Leafs fans should look at these individual players more on a way of: how their skill set fits into the current lineups needs and strengths.

Needs meaning in the lineup and also as an asset to use to improve your roster composition via trade. You may like one vs the other but should be able to be reasonable and look at it like that you know

HoHo posted that the hospitals were filling up with unvaccinated. 10% of the population (unvax'd) taking up 50% of the beds.

Your response was a laughing emoji.

I posted a reference that agreed with HoHo... <13% unvax'd making up 70% of ICU.

So... what is your reasoning for ignoring this? This same story is literally everywhere.

Do you believe that the entire worldwide health community is lying to you?

Where are YOUR facts?

I'd have absolutely no problem trading Lafferty and fitting Robertson in. Robertson is a kid and deserves a shot. At worst, you'd need to trade for a Lafferty type player come deadline. But Robertson has skill for days and an insanely good shot.

I'd roll-

Bertuzzi - Matthews - Nylander
Knies - Tavares - Marner
Robertson - Domi - Jarnkrok
Holmberg - Kampf - Reaves
