I think you have to play Robertson in the top 6 for him to be effective. His defence needs some work imo.

I agree he'd be much better in the top 6. The 3rd line I had does cheat offensively, so it could play well to his style and get the Leafs more goals. Jarnkrok also has a really good shot, too.

Way I see it, there's either one big move to come or a small one. Big move is Nylander and the small move is a combo of two of Jarnkrok/Lafferty/Timmins/(maybe Brodie, but as it stands, I find it hand to believe).

It was so strange, I was in 3 different hospitals during the lockdown, full ghost towns!! I started asking others about their experiences, they said the same thing. There is zero chance he's playing 3C especially signing as a UFA and taking a discount to boot.

If they wanted to give Robertson a chance, they would have left Reaves in the retirement line where he belongs.

And trading Lafferty would be a joke. He's one of their best skaters, two-way bottom six wingers. Shame they kept Kampf over Acciari because they were a great tandem on the 3rd line.

Hopefully they do look different. None of this changes the fact that our best players need to be better.

Florida, imo, is a hard maybe to even qualify for the playoffs. Vegas is out West, so only face them twice a year.

But NYR and Carolina are very good teams. That's still only a handful of games, though. Could change things up when facing them, too.

I'm really hoping to see Nylander traded and Zadorov + type of deal to make the team more defensively sound. You might like Willy's goal scoring and flair, but I remember him going into funks and mailing it in sometimes. It's an issue with the core of this team. One has to go and Willy's up first. Really, I wish it had been Marner moved.

OK, I've read all of the nonsense and misinformation on here. Why is there war in Ukraine? Barack Obama convinced Ukraine to give up their nuclear weapons, in exchange for a guarantee from Russia, that they wouldn't invade. Part of the deal gave Russia sovereignty over Crimea. Part of the deal was that Ukraine would not join NATO in the future. In 2014, however, the U.S. started building Chemical and Biological weapons factories in Ukraine. That enraged Russia and they threatened retaliation. Trump was then elected in 2016 and soothed the Russian's fear and said that they were going to be dismantled under his administration.

Fast-forward to 2018 and the midterm elections. Before these weapons of mass destruction could be mothballed, the Democrats regained control of the Senate. They stonewalled the government from removing these factories and then Covid hit, then the 2020 election happened. With a Democratic Presidency, Senate and House, the Military Industrial Complex decided that they wanted regime change in Russia. Putin made a very bad strategic decision to mass men and weaponry along the border with Ukraine. It was originally supposed to be a show of force. The idiot Biden administration decided to Sabre rattle and backed Russia into a corner. Fearing that they were going to lose face, they decided to try to win a quick, decisive victory and put an end to the Chemical and Biological weapons factories in Ukraine. Their blitzkrieg went off the rails and they were bogged down in Ukraine and there they sit, still trying to save face. Of course, we're spending billions of dollars to prop up the corrupt Ukrainian regime and inflation is hurting us all financially. The Military Industrial Complex are the one's getting rich and the politicians of all stripe that do their bidding are too. We are all suckers!

I am no Trump supporter (nor am I a Biden supporter) but the truth is that the world had become way more unstable the minute Biden took office. It was no coincidence that Russia attacked just months after Biden took the White House.
