Honestly who cares what they do off the ice? It’s not like they’ll be dating my daughter or anything. - gravyface
To an extent, i dont either. 90% of the time, if they help the team (and honestly, these 2 guys would be great additions to the top 6.... guys that can score a little, and stir things up too). But there are a select few guys in the league, that are so revolting i dont want them around. And these are 2 of them.

It’s not even your team that signed them.
We don’t care about your feelings.

Well, you’re in luck because you’re a nobody on a hockey forum and will never need (or get a chance) to be around them outside of the games that are on your television in your mom’s basement. |

Tricky part with Murray is that he’s owed real money on his contract, so the bottom feeders won’t be interested without some serious sweetening.
God I hate the cap. - gravyface

I like the cap.
It forces teams to be smart in their management and we don't see the 1997 Detroit Red Wings anymore. - Scabeh
I like that, if the Leafs ever do win it, there will be no narrative about how they bought a cup.
I do wish they would do something about the circumvention and playoff roster no-cap. |

Same.
The fact that 2 of the past 3 cup winners entered the playoffs wildly over the cap with a player miraculously coming back from a long term injury not a day before the first game of the playoffs is stupid.

My guess:
Bertuzzi is a known anti-vaccine guy.

So it's cool if it's someone else's daughter? That's not cool man.
Now to be totally fair, I have no clue if they are terrible men in that regard. They could simply be bumholes and fine if they wanna be bumholes.

Agreed. If they trade Murray they have $2.1M left for Sammy and that’s going with 12F and 7D. If they buy him out it’s only about $1.5M.
Moving Jarnkrok for picks and moving up McMann would add some more room. I wouldn’t move Brodie unless you can get a better player for less which seems tricky. Despite some cringe moments in the playoffs he was still one of the better guys last year. - Canada Cup
Heads up ...CF has Robertson and his 800k in there too.
They've got $3M to sign Sammy if they move Murray for pickles. If they can't find a partner then factor in the 675k buyout. |

Let's be honest here, any Leaf fan here would love ANY player from Toronto dating their daughter...they would probably brag nonstop

He wasn't. If he was actually injured, he wouldn't have started Game 2 after being demolished in Game 1. Everybody plays with knocks in the playoffs so if he was truly, actually injured to the point he was giving up 3+ goals a game because of it, then Keefe should have put in Woll a lot earlier.
Get ready for Klingberg to make all the same mistakes, if not more.
He was -25 in Dallas and -25 in Anaheim. Factually worse than Holl.
Your new whipping boy awaits you. Wear protection. - Rare_Jewel
What I am telling you isn't something that's up for debate. I am stating a fact. He was hurt for weeks before the playoffs started. He wasn't healthy in the playoffs. He played through injury. And the team didn't want to fall back on Woll until they had to.
Hindsight shows that they should've trusted Woll earlier.
Wait until you see Holl on a team that isn't as great as the Leafs. Since you don't understand hockey, you'll actually be in for a surprise. |

And they still have to sign Samsonov right?
Any other RFA's pending? - Scabeh
If the math is right, and they keep Robertson (which would give them 12F, 7D, 2G), then they have $1.57m for Samsonov if they buy out Murray or $2.25 if they trade him.
Now if a larger deal is made - like a Nylander or a Brodie it changes the entire cap landscape. Given that they have just sacrificed a LOT of defense by adding Klingberg, Domi and Reaves - who are all poor defensive players - I would hope they'd keep Brodie.
