Can't take both without significant retention by Toronto as Buffalo has less then $6M in cap room.

Even at 50% retention, it would leave the Sabres with only a million in cap room, and 26 players on the roster.

In real money, it would be nearly $7M, even with 50% retention.

Can't see the Peggy Bank being open to that.

Yes I understand that, and I know it won't happen because the Sabres pretty much shut the door on any activity like that with the contracts signed even before FA hit. There's teams out there that don't even have a backup goalie yet. Get creative and Murray doesn't have to spend a day on the roster.

He is not a 'worker'. Thought he should have been gifted a first line spot and PP1 time from what I remember someone saying. Saying that , I hadn't been too impressed with him any time I watched the Wings.
