Someone needs to tell the other 31 GM’s that big summer is over.

Hey guys, don't worry, the 35 year old who misses 15 games a year, every year, on average over 15 years wants to be here, we're all set.

Come on lon, it's not even the trades.

Call me in 90 days.
We all wanted
-2 defenders
-1 goalie
-maybe a forward

They filled 2 needs on D. Looking at the roster so far screams to me they aren't done yet. Isn't it amazing he didn't get it all done in Day 1 of the new season with all those monster deals other teams made, lol.

Goalie is admittedly very confusing, and again screams to me they aren't done. Can't imagine that he didn't get it all resolved in 1 day.

2 points to consider:
- it is called silly season for a reason. Day 1 signing of big ticket guys generally isn't the best way to build a team. It is best used to color in the small holes on the perimeter.
- very, very little trades of any consequence across the league have occurred yet. It is a different year, unusually quiet.

It’s weird that we apparently are not allowed to be concerned about the current state of the team, or even mention the 12 years of failure. I genuinely don’t understand that take. Can one of you perhaps enlighten the rest of us as to when it would be acceptable to say anything that might be construed as a criticism? Is there a date? Is 13 years of failure good? 15 years? Do you understand how ridiculous you sound?

The new league year is 2 days old.

Can we at least wait until September to complain about offseason inactivity ?

Especially when one of the guys with any sort of inside information is telling you that there is more to come ?

Don’t think it’s that much to ask

Tarasenko would look awfully good on Cozens RW. 2 years $13m get it done? Cap is pretty irrelevant to.m Buffalo for the next couple of years anyway.

Why does the new league year matter to you? 95% of the offseason is done by the 4th.

Yep and if you read his Twitter, 5 other teams were in on him. So those GMs are stupid also.

Yes it's silly season most years, some good Hockey players signed for pretty reasonable contracts already because of the cap crunch. And yes he filled the D needs with some decent adds, hopefully they can step up. I hope he is still going to add and it is still early. But some players were signed that could have helped us and it really didn't cost much to do it.

It’s day 2 of free agency. Plenty of time

Today teams honestly didn’t do much

Bertuzzi would've been an excellent addition on a one year deal.

Probably selected Toronto due to the higher likelihood of playoffs, but they could've offered more money and a promise to be on Cozens wing, plus only missing by a single point and Bertuzzi helping make up the difference to get in this coming season.

Missed opportunity.

Bertuzzi is a missed opportunity for them.

Would've looked great on Cozens wing.

Well if they were his Agent said No team came close to the 5.5m on a longer-term contract atleast a Contender, that's why they started pivoting to a 1yr contract

Drive your car by looking through the windshield...not through the review mirror still attached to the cars, 2, 3, 4 before your current model.

If they were in the mix, were they willing to outbid everyone on a one year deal if needed, and exceed whatever their valuation was on him?

Does the peggy bank allow for acquisitions like that, or did Taylor Hall and that season permanently scar Pegula?

You know who could be a sneaky good pickup for Buffalo....Konecny
- Glak18

He’d be great but pho will be asking a shltload for him.

Hart and konecny
For
Oloffson, savoie, Rosen, UPL, a second tier prospect and our 2024 1st.

That’s a lot to give up and I’m not sure it’s enough??

If bertuzzi was so great, why didn't a good contender want him on a multi year deal?

Strange, 1 year deal imo

I swear the amount of rope Adams has been given by fans for doing almost nothing besides sell of Jack Eichel over a three year period is insane. You can count on one hand the amount of NHL contributors that he’s brought in on the roster that make a difference

Most of this current team is Botterill’s and there’s even Murray/Darcy players left.

No one wants him fired, but my god how about some standards? Connor Clifton as their big D add is an absolute joke I’m sorry
