Why does this year not matter to some?
- Lunaion

It does matter …. But going all in on mediocre players with bad reputations isn’t going to help the team overall

Franking kill me. Ask Flaccoville. He’s probably excitedly reviewing who could be our next 13th pick that no one believes fell into our laps.
- SoCalPucks

I was excited when we drafted Cozens

I wasn’t really excited when we drafted Quinn as I thought the value was off, but apart from durability issues, the talent isn’t in question and I ate a shoe.

I felt Peterka was every bit as good as Reichel who went 17th overall and was thrilled we drafted him where we did.

Big fan of Savoie who I didn’t think would be there at 9th overall. I wouldn’t have questioned Kulich at 15, to get him at 28 was incredible. Ostlund we’ll have to wait

Benson to me, has the highest upside of any guy on the list (including Cozens although it’s close due to positional value).

Idk why it’s such a negative that we finally have a scouting department that may be hitting some runs here.

The fact we couldn’t draft if our lives depended on it between 2005-2012 is a huge part of the reason we were in the fu**ing mess to begin with

Domi and Duch are not mediocre. They are above average players.

Olofsson is mediocre - he is a 1-trick pony.

Girgensons and Okposo? The very definition of mediocre.

Definitely not tons of crap ….. but okay. Apparently you have played a team sport

No, he's right, it's bullsh¡t. The "Bickering Bills" went to four straight SBs, and the least bad among them "just" routinely fell asleep at the wheel at stop lights he was so lit. Then came the drought, the period where ole Ralphy wanted nothing but choir boys, then he bought the farm and they drafted guys who were winners and all of a sudden they're good. Hmm... that's a tough one for sure. QB helps immensely, sure, but they also weren't afraid to go out and get guys like Diggs.

Belichick had a revolving door of "trouble" players like Corey Dillon and Randy Moss

Just as bad as most teams when you take their best two players of their roster.

Domi is a one trick pony as well.

The leafs actually signed two of the bottom 5 defensive players in the entire league the last few weeks (Domi and Klingberg)

if you need a scoring d man

ghost is miles better than any d man not named dahlin or power in our organization

he has 92 points in the last 2 years

most people that say we don't need a ghost, duchane or domi bend the knee to get carter hart who has sucked for years

Domi and duchene magically turned into elite players over the last hour or so.

Right, it's why I said most. Most teams can sustain when their best two players are gone.

How good would Edmonton be without McDavid and Draistil. Kind of a silly argument.

Sabres don’t need a scoring defensemen ….. we needed a defensemen to play with power and upgrade the 3rd d pairing

Which hey …… Adams fixed.

Which gerbe implied another d is coming

I shared the ice with a lot of guys who were drafted to both the OHL and NHL. Unfortunately none of them stuck but nonetheless.

I played AAA but wasn’t good enough to get further than that.

Why that matters, I have no idea but nonetheless.

Played Rep football and soccer as well.

Erik Johnson shouldn’t be relied on to do it. He’s not very good.

He’s a bust of a number 1 overall pick.

I never once heard anyone on this board say, Erik Johnson is a guy they should go sign. not one person.

I’m Not sure how much of an upgrade he is.

I would have taken by he flyer on Duchene.

Only reason Domi is still in the league is because of his last name

It’s sarcasm …. I don’t think it’s the end of the world we don’t have duchene or domi

Duchene was linked to literally only Dallas the entire time.

Domi just the leafs.
