Whatta crock

Why, Adams has talked and supposedly tried to make trades and sign players but they still say No. If we are such a up and coming team with a huge future, why would you say NO.

Its July 5th. Not September 1st.

Lets relax for the summer. Kick the feet up. Get a tan. (Or wallow inside whatever your preference is)

Free agency wasn't going to make us contenders. Trades need to be made.

- DirtyDan

This all stems from someone in here, saying that they are of the understanding that the Sabres are pretty much done with regards to the roster for next season

Rumoured to be available:

ANA: Gibson, Henrique,
BOS: Grzelcyk
CAL: 50% of the roster
CAR: Pesce
WPG: 50% of the roster
PHI: Hart, Sanheim, Konencny, Laughton
WAS: Kuznetsov, Mantha
OTT: Debrincant
TOR: Murray, Nylander
SJS: Karlsson

That’s who is “openly” out there. We all know conversations take place on guys that aren’t rumoured to be available too.

Still free agents that can help this team as well on the right contract.

So someone with some source says they're done.

Another guy with another source says there's things to happen.

I say lets all just relax a bit and see what happens.

OK, and what Teams can make trades, who has the Space, do they have the players we want. There might be a few big ones here in the next few days. But if anything the Cap Constraints are gonna hinder that, we have already seen it and it will only get worse.

Glad we didn't resign the same replacement level 4th line players for way too much money before the new league year! Leaves tons of cap space to utilize for a big trade or two. Phew!

Muscle, every winning team has a talented core surrounded by muscle.

The Sabres have a talented core surrounded by mental patients one strong wind away from total brain damage.

Clifton and Johnson both add some man for man toughness, especially replacing joker / bryson.

Clifton can throw. He beat up krebs.

I get what you're saying though and agree. Need some up front too.

A lot has to go right to exceed last seasons total. With the minimal d improvement, at this point the offense looks to regress (Quinn injury, Olo being a ?), rookie goalie.

They have done nothing to address the softness of the group, and teams will adjust to their speed this season.

If they over achieved last season what is the point total that is considered achieved for you?

- washedup20

On top of your points re: regression. What are the chances that TNT, Skinner, Tuch, Dahls all match or beat their career years? Is Peterka capable of soaking up all of that production? Is it possible for those players to match or grow from this year? Time will tell.

Girgs needs to step up for his teammates. That's part of a 4th line larry role.

Okposo really shouldnt medically be fighting.

Krebs did what he could, to stay in the lineup.

Getting rid of olofsson and bryson should help.
Although olofsson probably replaces quinn now

What if half of those guys learn how to play defence, and we get much better goaltending than last year and give up 30 less goals ?

Does that count for something ?

Would that count for something?
