The “anger” is because those of us that can math recognize the depth of the prospect pool, and the roster spots we have available. Nobody thought we weren’t going to get a promising player at 13. You keep thinking you’re scoring points but what’s really happening is you’re mischaracterizing the arguments being made, and demonstrating an inability to count. And yes..whatever we trade we hurt a little. That’s why we call them good prospects.

Perry would've been a better option as a leader in that locker room - his winning career and edge he bring to the game would be worth over paying for.

I never said the youth doesn't need mentorship but the approval to use roster spots for coaching/support roles is bad when there are voids in the roster that could be filled using those spots.

Culture is important, it doesn't take this long to implement it. The Eichel drama was self-inflicted - no one to blame but ownership. Adams slow and cautious climb out of that dark era is what is the most likely reason you and I, along with many on here are at an impasse on the future direction of the organization.

You said yesterday you trust Adams process, which hasn't worked yet, but more power to you. He has yet to field a balanced roster and the holes each season remain constant.

A football locker room and a hockey locker room are vastly different so while looking into how the Bills turned it around (drafted an elite quarterback and developed him properly) is not my concern on fixing the Sabres.

Wildfires erupting in SoCal!

Zach Benson is extremely good and is worthy of a top 10 pick. His height, and Arizona being Arizona, allowed him to fall to us.

People (local media/bloggers) were spazzing out for two months wondering if Benson would fall to us due to size. Getting a kid like that allows you to use a prospect asset like a Rosen to improve your team.

If the Sabres start reaching playoff level hockey, those prospects are going to be worth more than our first round picks.
