Faceoffs don't matter until they do. Special teams is a prime area of specific concern as you pointed out. Normal 5v5 is of less significance in view of the purponderence of on-the-fly changes outnumbering faceoffs.
I'd also say the putrid High Danger Chances given up is more an indictment on overall defensive play by the 5 on the ice, and a clear disposition of the Coaching staff to develop the offensive side of the game to instill more confidence.
This season, the biggest impact on cutting those down comes from I stallng and executing well a more defensively aware system...and upgrading the D certainly contributes. - IonSabres
Agree, that's why I would like it looked at until the have that system implemented. Sabres can push the pace, starting with the puck more only enhances that.
AM radio is being phased out of cars and Audacy is in dire financial straits. What's happening in Edmonton likely happens here before too long. WGR probably doesn't have too much longer
Beady and the Brrrrs live on twitter spaces every game for your play by play. Color commentary is the sweet sounds of Lockport. Sports with a mix of trauma/ASMR

They push each other to be better. If you have a player where they have to be the best on the team or they are mad, you don’t want that player. - Lilroot9

I agree, which is why I asked. - washedup20
It would be incredible if each of them won a Norris Trophy while on the Sabres. Went back and looked like its been done twice. MacInnis and Pronger won it back to back for the Blues and two Canadien defencemen I never heard of did it in the 50's.

It’s just always seemed like a pipedream from the Sabres end.
I can’t fathom why Power would do that to himself before the cap rises and he probably (barring injury) has an even more impressive season next year - sbroads24
I can’t imagine he would sign or agree to anything until he says dahlins. And if he does sign something after that it would pretty much have to be a matching offer.

May I ask why ?
Dahlin was arguably the best d-man in hockey last year.
As impressive as Power’s rookie season was, I still think Dahlin will have the better point totals throughout their careers (and we all know AAV’s get inflated by point totals).
I think a 8 year deal in the $8-8.5M range is what we would be looking at (Makar being the comparable at 8x9)

Because he is signing it early. No reason to settle for less till he plays both seasons.
