Toronto could be a possibility with Samsonov.

Their window opens after he settles or after the award. They get a chance either way.

If the leafs give us Matt Murray Brodie and a 1st for joker and a 2nd round pick

Who says no? Sabres or leafs?

Decent Read! I like his idea with Mitts other than using him for Gibson. I would definitely use him for a Dman

League minimum, a Ted’s sponsorship with free Ted’s should get that deal done.

Olofsson + Bryson + B list prospect = Gibson

Joker + 2nd = top 4 d

That is my uneducated guess

Sabres definitely have some cap dumps coming.

Like moving olofsson. Comrie. We can create space if we had to

Everyone keeps saying that, has anyone other than a few been following what has been going on. Lots of Teams can't take on dumps or even just Salary. Sabres really can't even make contract for contract trades without either waiving players or something else. It's gonna be very interesting to see how Adams finishes this offseason off. Even Teams that will be able to use that 2nd buy out window are either doing it to get complient or finish a deal they may already have in place.

Sabres have $5.8M in cap space but that is counting 9 NHL d-men and 3 goalies.

Even without making a trade and exposing Bryson and Comrie to waivers you’re at roughly $8M in cap space.

The only thing stopping Buffalo from adding to the roster is if Pegula doesn’t want to spend to the cap.

Finding cap space is pretty easy.

Many many nhl teams have done for awhile now.

CapFriendly already has the Sabres at 23/23 contracts with 6.6m in space, yes they can waive Bryson but his AHL salary is 1.9mill so you ain't saving sh!t.

I’m not saying the Sabres are going to do it.

I’m just saying the last 3-5 years it’s been done

You don't sign Clifton and Johnson if a trade is that easy.

That’s not including UPL.

Waiving Bryson also saves ~$1M

Not necessarily, we had half an AHL d-corps playing some nights when we lost guys to injuries.

Signing Clifton and Johnson does nothing but cause trouble for the Lybushkin, Stillman, Bryson, and Joker’s of the world (two of which we keep in the press box when the inevitable injuries hit)

Yes they already have him in Rochester and Quinn on IR. So really the Sabres have 25 contracts at this point.

You might be right.

But if you don’t have those guys. Then other teams know you have a major hole you need to fill and will Try to take advantage

Goes up to $1,150,000 this year, to be precise. But then you're going to replace him with someone.

Also remember they are going to pay a fair amount of bonuses this year. I don't think they are going to want to take a penalty into next season.
